Six good reasons to take your kids off-grid this summer

Author Jessica Hatcher-Moore and her husband, the photographer Philip Hatcher-Moore, spent a spring weekend living off-grid with their two young boys our Upper Shadymoor Farm in Shropshire, run by Joy and Kevan Fox. It was, in Jessica’s words, “completely idyllic and deliciously springlike (in other words, mud-luscious) – the perfect way to recharge our souls.” Here, Jessica shares her observations from the trip – and why it pays to escape the trappings of modern life for a while.
