Ferme Koeune

At La Ferme Koeune, you settle into a small village in the Belgian Ardennes, just a few minutes from Houffalize, in a lively and nature-filled region. From the elevated spot where the hideaways are located, the view opens widely onto the valley, meadows and village.

Here, you stay on a family farm that has been active for several generations. Originally a dairy farm, it has gradually evolved over time to include cattle rearing, the cultivation of cereals and vegetables, and the production of potatoes, onions, flour, and even a beer brewed from their own wheat.

The spacious canvas hideaways are set on slightly higher ground, close to the farm’s animals. On one side, cows graze in the fields, and on the other, an enclosure is home to alpacas, ponies, horses and sheep. You'll be immersed in slowing down on this farm as the hideaways are more basic, with foot-pumped water and a compost toilet within your hideaway.

During your stay, you can feed the animals, collect eggs, enjoy the play areas, walk barefoot along the dedicated path or reach Houffalize on foot via the RAVeL trail. Here, each day is lived simply, at the pace of nature and the great outdoors.
