At Ferme la Contrée des Minis, your stay takes place in a unique setting dedicated to discovering animals and nature. Located in the heart of the Moselle region, this educational farm welcomes families into a peaceful environment, looking onto the surrounding fields - an ideal place for curiosity, adventure, and quality time together.

Here, the farm has a clear mission: to reconnect young and old with nature and help them better understand why it is essential to protect it. Through encounters with miniature animals, children observe, approach, and learn without fear or pressure.

This committed approach has been recognised with an award: they were the 2024 winner of the Prix de l’Engagement Associatif, honouring its work in environmental education and sustainable development for families, children, and the wider public.

The farm is about 4.5 hours from Paris and is an excellent starting point for discovering Moselle, Sainte-Croix Animal Park, the Mittersheim water sports centre, or even Strasbourg, which is less than an hour away by car.

What can you do at La Contrée des Minis Farm?

Animals are at the heart of the experience. Ponies, donkeys, goats, sheep, pigs, dwarf rabbits, alpacas, ducks, and even a mini zebu allow children to discover the animal world in a fun and reassuring way.

Throughout their stay, families can take part in feeding the animals, visit the farm, explore the orchard, the educational garden, the beehive, or the natural pond, serving as hands-on ways to discover biodiversity and the living world.

When it comes to accommodation, five fully equipped canvas hideaways allow guests to stay on site and enjoy the Feather Down glamping experience. They are set in an open area with views over the fields and a shared central space. Children’s play areas, barbecues at each tent, and walking trails starting directly from the farm complete this nature-filled stay - simple, authentic, and deeply restorative. There's also seasonal activities and Flammekuche/pizza evenings to complete the experience.

For parents who want to slow down even more, massages and reflexology sessions are also available on site.

Franck & Sophie

Frank and Sophie are behind the creation of La Contrée des Minis. Together, they imagined and developed this unique educational site, dedicated to environmental education and raising awareness of the animal world.

Frank is a professional farmer and ensures the well-being of the animals, as well as running the agricultural and educational project. Sophie takes care of the administrative management and the smooth running of the farm.

During the season, they are supported by a team of activity leaders, who are present on the farm to supervise activities, welcome families, and bring the site to life on a daily basis. Together, they run a farm focused on discovery, the environment, and welcoming families.
