During autumn, there is plenty to discover on the farm during the day from meeting the animals to watching the farmer finish the last harvest jobs, and as soon as the evening falls, there is nothing as cosy as playing games by candlelight and sleeping in the warm cupboard bed.

We know arriving at the farm can be a busy time, unloading the car and settling in while the kids enjoy exploring the great outdoors. We want to make your arrival and first night as smooth as possible, so you'll have the following in your October warmer bundle:
🧡 A heated tent upon arrival between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, so that you immediately feel at home. With the wood-burning stove already alight, you can relax in the warmth of your cosy cottage under canvas.
🧡 Illuminated oil lamps so you can settle in and unpack in the glow of lanterns and candlelight.
🧡 Hot meal on arrival to ease the pressure of that first dinner and fill you with wholesome food to enjoy your first evening together. (Stew or Cottage/Shepherds Pie provided, farm dependent).
🧡 Unlimited wood for your stay, to keep you toasty and warm no matter what the weather.
Making your stay extra special
Family time is precious, and we want you to leave your cosy weekend full of special memories shared together. That's why we're including even more in the October warmer bundle to nurture those magical moments.
🧡 Croissants, bread and jam for breakfast on the first morning for the whole family. What a way to start the day!

Why stay during October?
October weather can be changeable (although the same could be said for this whole year so far!) but with your wellies and jackets, there's many great reasons why an October farm stay is a unique choice.
💚 Clear skies for stargazing - many of our farms are located away from towns or even in dark sky areas, meaning the chance of seeing stars is much higher. Snuggle down around a campfire and watch the twinkling sky above.
💚 Wildlife in abundance - Watch as hedgehogs, deer, owls and squirrels forage through woods and meadows to build up food supplies before their winter hibernation. And of course there will still be animals to see at most of our farms, sometimes now in their sheds or yards to keep warm.
💚 Quieter and small-scale - with our small-scale locations, you'll never be surrounded by crowds of people. But at this time of year, it's often quieter and more serene, giving even more opportunity to slow down from a busy pace of life and enjoy quality family time together.
💚 Last memories before winter - we are drawing close to the end of the season so this is your last chance to enjoy some off-grid family time before next spring. And no matter the weather, grab a jacket and some wellies for some outdoor adventure together.
