Domaine de Royères

In the heart of the green hills of Haute-Vienne, Domaine de Royères welcomes you to a former 15th-century farm surrounded by meadows, orchards and animals. 
Here, time slows down. Children run freely through the grassy fields, watch sheep grazing from their canvas hideaway and discover a real working farm together as a family.

Hosts Rik and Odilia left the Netherlands more than 20 years ago to build a new life in this small corner of the countryside, in Haute-Vienne, on the edge of the Dordogne and the Green Périgord. 
On their 80-hectare organic farm, they raise cows, sheep, pigs and chickens while welcoming guests for many years.

The three Feather Down canvas hideaways are located in an old orchard of pear, apple and plum trees, with views over the meadows and animals. Here is a place to rediscover the simple pleasure of a slower life; cooking over fire, evenings by candlelight and quality time spent in nature.

On the farm, days are spent outdoors: feeding the animals, picking fruit, collecting wood from the farm’s small woodland, playing in the old Citroën van transformed into a cabin, or enjoying the swimming pool when summer days become warmer.
