Dog-friendly glamping in Devon

We had a wonderful stay. Our children LOVED it - it was so brilliant to see them embracing everything. We signed up in advance for pretty much every extra on offer - pony pampering, raft building + brunch, lamb feeding, picnic, BBQ - and would highly recommend others do the same. They are a great way to get to know the farm and animals (many of whom our children were on first-name terms by the end of our stay!), and are excellent value. In fact, anything involving food at Sunninglye is excellent value - we did not manage to finish any of the meals/boxes provided! Easily the highlight of our stay, though, was the raft-building + brunch. The setting is simply idyllic and everything you could need is laid on for you. After a hilarious hour or two building and piloting some frankly ridiculous craft around the pond, we sat down at the prelaid table to a glorious spread, cooked by two of our number using the ingredients and equipment provided - coffee, orange juice, toast and the fullest English Breakfast you could hope to eat. Then, with energy replenished, back to the raft-building! A brilliant day. A brilliant stay all round, in fact - thanks so much, especially to Jo, Gill and Rob, who were so welcoming and accommodating.

We LOVED it. Olive, our 2 year old, became firm friends with Thomas the horse and delighted in collecting eggs, feeding all the animals and jumping up and down in muddy puddles - of which there were many. A real testament to Featherdown is that despite cold, wet and windy weather we had a wonderful time. _x000D_ _x000D_ My husband and I asked Andrew endless questions about the farm as we were complete novices. Andrew was very kind and answered everything with genuine care and passion for what he does. Denise was wonderful and considerate host. A great team.

It was fantastic. I'm a single parent with cronic illness and have two special need kids plus a 6 year old. Marcos and Lucy was so friendly helpful and kind. You couldn't ask for better hosts. My cronic illness fibromyalgia runs on stress. It reduced it so much on my weekend at collage farm. Tent was amazing. Better than a caravan,no rocking in the wind. Very dry. Front room area really warm with log burner. I even slept on the sofa due to my illness very comfortable.

The holiday at Chesters was amazing - more than we could have wished for. Our boys (5 and 2) loved everything about it. The hot tubs are particularly special and the surrounding area is great for exploring. Grass sledging at Born in the Borders was a highlight. So great to get away from screens & just spend time together as a family. We are already planning our next trip.
