Feather Down Farms Corporate Social Responsibility

At the heart of a Feather Down stay is escaping to nature and the freedom of being surrounded by fresh air in the great outdoors. Working with farmers, we strive to instil a better appreciation of how the countryside works and what you can do in your everyday world to help sustain these traditional ways of life.

Life Terra is a foundation with a mission to restore our connection with the earth and to enable
people to take impactful climate action now. We facilitate tree planting, educate future
generations, and develop tree monitoring technology. There are many ways to support climate change mitigation and promoting ecological restoration within Europe is one of them. 🌍

🍃 🐝 Santa Clara-a-Velha is an area of 55ha that has been restored with more than 65,000 trees and shrubs of 7 native species to boost biodiversity and increase the presence of local fauna and flora.
From the carbon dioxide that these trees are fixing, we obtain the carbon removal credits. Once certified, companies can invest in these projects by acquiring credits, and making a transparent and positive contribution to nature.

As the Feather Down group, we made a donation to the Life Terra project in December 2024, resulting in off-setting 235 tons of CO2 through their tree planting initiative. This covers our 2024 carbon footprint, another step on our path to sustainability, and green time instead of screen time.
