Luxury family glamping on working farms

This was our 3rd Feather down trip - a new farm each time and College Farm didn’t disappoint. Marcus and Lucy were wonderful hosts and took so much time to chat and encourage the kids to get involved with the daily animal feeding which was a perfect way to start our day and return to after some lovely days out exploring the local area.We had everything we needed, loved the integrated shower in our tent and extra fridges available in the super hot weather. But even despite the heat the tents were lovely and cool at night and the star gazing was perfect.And the hay barn and play area provided entertainment till dark every night for our kids who made great pals with our fellow campers.Definitely worth a visit!

We had such a wonderful time away. Lucy is an incredible host, so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The tent was impeccably clean and so thoughtfully designed, and the farm and surroundings were stunning. It was such a lovely setting - my 5 year old ran free, made friends with other kids and adored the trampoline and hay barn. Highly recommended!!

Hosts were friendly, warm, helpful and so lovely. The farm was absolutely beautiful and clean and tidy, we didn't have children, but lots of things for children to see and do. The tent was FABULOUS! How can we call it camping when we had a luxurious bed and duvet, private hot shower, everything you need to cook and make meals, the honesty shop was a brilliant bonus and we love the 'frozen hotties' to keep the fridge cool, brilliant idea!! We had an afternoon/evening of horrible rain, but we were warm, dry and very toastie. Would recommend treganhoe 1000% it's FABULOUS and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

We had lovely weekend at Fountain Violet Farm. The setting is beautiful and Edward and Harvey the dog were excellent hosts - friendly and generous. We loved our safari tent and all the little touches that make it cosy and comfortable. Thanks for another lovely stay at Fountain Violet Farm.

We had such a fabulous time at Sunninglye. Waking up and looking over the beautiful hills watching lambs skipping around and horses galloping in the fields and drinking tea by the campfire was a very special experience. Jo and gill were such warm and friendly hosts. They were so helpful and even delivered us a kit for making stew over the fire, plus wonderful food from the local butchers and bakery. The honesty shop was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed. Our two year old loved feeding the lambs, meeting the goats and pigs and sitting on the tractor! Collecting eggs was also a highlight. Being on a working farm and feeling connected to the countryside for a few days was priceless. The farm itself is beautiful with rolling hills and a woodland you can roam in alongside all the animals. Thank you so much, we will be back!

This was our second trip to Sunninglye. We spent most of our days either down at the lake on the boats and making rafts or walking around the farm enjoying watching all the lambs. The tent was fully equipped with comfortable beds and outside seating with incredible views. We had a bbq two nights and enjoyed the pizza making on the other. We shall definitely be back, thank you Gill for another fun and relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful weekend with our two young boys (5 and 2). They had the space and freedom to run and play, and loved the interaction with the animals including bottle feeding calves and lambs. The tent was a perfect set up, the fun of camping and staying outside without having to bring the kit. Also very dog friendly, our dog was happy to be there and we just made sure he was kept on a lead/long line.
