This is the 10th year of our May trips and it is truely a special place. Andrew and Caroline make the visit super special, nothing is too much trouble and we are always made to feel so welcome.
My only criticism is that the BBQ's could do with being updated, we have never had any success cooking on them and this year brought our own.

A break away from life’s stresses

We(all 21 of us) had a great long weekend. We were however very disappointed that the kids couldn’t collect eggs each morning as there was no hen coup, we’ve been to two other Featherdown farms collecting eggs was one of the highlights of the day. We were also disappointed not to get a tour of the farm so it didn’t really feel like we were staying on a farm, could have been any camp site!

We had the perfect family holiday. The location is beautiful, tents comfortable, Andrew and family welcoming and lots of great and very different beaches to visit. The children (3, 5, 8y) were very happy just playing in the wood next to the tent. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing holiday! It was such a fun adventure together. Lunsford Farm is stunningly beautiful and Andrew the farmer is a great host. We’ll definitely be back!

One of the best locations for a summer holiday. Amazing sea view from most tents. We could have used a map of walking trails to the beach and wheel barrows for general usage like all other Feather down farms have. Honesty shop was well stocked. Chicken coup is too far from the tents. Although we didn’t interact with the host, much, overall we enjoyed our stay.

A really well equipped and comfortable tent with stunning view of the Sussex cost and farm land. A warm and friendly welcome from farmer Andrew. Overall, a lovely break

Nice to get back to basics, no phones, no tv

Beautiful location, perfect for children, friendly helpful hosts, cosy accommodation

It feels like the people at Featherdown have figured out exactly what the key perks and total joys are to camping and then got rid of the icky bits that make camping less enjoyable and harder work. We found the whole experience truly magical from the views, and surrounding area to the little touches in the canvas lodges that you wouldn’t normally get at home. We’re so obsessed with the hand coffee grinder that we got one for our kitchen!

Absolute bliss. Just having that space, with that exclusive view felt like an honour to be there. The tents were so cozy, everything has been thought of. A big part was connecting to nature, we loved seeing the baby lambs everywhere and enjoying a bonfire in the exclusive private bluebell woods!

Idyllic. Simply wonderful - Andrew is the perfect host; welcoming and interesting, always ready to help and great conversation. Loved it, was our fourth time and we'll be back.

Had a lovely break at Lunsford Farm, the view from our tent was amazing. Andrew and Caroline are fab hosts. The tents are closer together than other Featherdowns that I have visited, but they are still a good distance apart (10 metres or so) so I didn't feel this was a negative at all. I would highly recommend the tent that we stayed in (tent 1) as it has a beautiful view over the fields and the sea which is so lovely to wake up to in the morning.
The shower facilities are excellent on Lunsford, clean, warm and spacious.

We just returned from Lunsford farm & were plesently surprised of how spaceious & well equipped the tent was. Although the bedding space is a bit tight, we were able to sleep 5 adults comfortably. The rustic feel makes the stay that more enjoyable especially being able to sit around the dining table in the evenings. We would definately return, although we might try a different location. Only downside is the tents were more closer together then expected, although we still had our own privacy. Would recommend to family & friends.

Excellent location, would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful holiday at Lunsford. Andrew, our host couldn't have been more helpful and was incredibly knowledgeable and in formative about the history of his farm and the local area. The location is so picturesque with sea views from the campsite, and the kids loved the addition of the swing and seesaw nearby.

The farm is in an exquisite setting. I could never get bored of the view from our tent, across fields dotted with new born lambs, to the sea.

A really enjoyable way to camp. In spring I recommend bringing lots of warm clothes and extra toilet roll and hand soap.

Best glamping ever........

The tents here seemed closer together than I remember from other holidays with Feather Down Farm at different destinations, so I did find it noisy at night as the other tents had older children and there seemed to be no consideration for others. They were running around after 11pm with head torches on making a lot of noise.
However, the worst thing was the dreadful partying noise coming from somewhere nearby, very loud music which continued until 3am one night and 4 am the next night, absolutely dreadful. Luckily my 3 year old granddaughter slept through it but I didn't, so I would definitely not return to this farm; the Sunday night was beautifully peaceful as there was no-one else there and no nearby party!

Idyllic location on a farm with views of the sea. 15 min walk to the beach, feeding the animals, fishing and an all round glorious glamping trip.

Magical, an experience the kids will never forget!

We had a lovely time at Lunsford Farm. Even though the weather was a little on the chilly side we really enjoyed our walk to the beach (via the WW2 pillbox) and particuarly enjoyed the tour of the farm with Andrew. Kids really enjoyed feeding the cows and collecting their own eggs. They are already asking for a return visit!

Perfect

A wonderful location looking down to the coast with a sunrise to die for.

Our holiday allowed us adults to enjoy the natural surroundings and switch off from day to day life, and it gave the children an important break from any technology, time outside playing and the chance to see a working farm in action. Collecting the hen's eggs was a highlight :).

Fantastic rustic fun, fresh air and tranquillity.

My holiday experience was very excellent .... because we had to light the fire and it was great playing on the swings and the view was great. Harry aged 7
