Escape to a simpler life with Filip and Ann

Discover Hoeve den Overdraght in the Flemish Poperinge. On this modern farm, Filip, Ann and their children live together with their beautiful Jersey cows and sheep. The cows are known for their super creamy milk! Farmer Filip is always busy somewhere, can you help him feed the dairy cows, collect straws or do some field work? The tents are set up around the playground.

Hiking, cycling or a day at the amusement park?: it's all possible!

Crazy about donkeys? Neighbour Pat will tell you everything about these animals! Poperinge is the ideal base for a walking or cycling tour. The children will not be bored here either: what about a visit to the Hoppemuseum, the Kinderbrouwerij, Beauvoorde Castle or the Cordoba cable car. Fan of K3, Bumba or Kabouter Plop? Then a day at Plopsaland is definitely a must! The real daredevils would probably prefer Bellewaerde amusement park. On the beach of De Panne, you can go sand yachting and kite surfing. You can also cross the border to France or visit Lille. There are more than enough to discover!

What to do on Hoeve den Overdraght

Watch the farmer milk the cows and learn about the rare sheep breeds. Ann will show you what you can make with the wool of the sheep during a workshop. One of the farm’s biggest assets is the farmers' pool, great to dive into on a hot summer day! After swimming you can get a nice ice cream in the honesty shop. Get together in the tent, cook on the wood stove and enjoy the last rays of sunshine. When it gets dark, it is time to light the oil lamps and relax in your comfy beds.

Ann and Filip

We chose the name Overdraght. This formerly meant a dock: a quay along waterways where they sometimes had to pay a toll to be allowed to sail a particular stretch of water. Now we are a welcoming haven for anyone who wants to visit and get to meet and find out about breeds of sheep of a variety hard to find these days.
