Welcome to Valérie and Philippe’s farm
In the heart of the Belgian Gaume region, just a short distance from the French border, La Chèvrerie du Hayon welcomes you for a simple and authentic farm stay. Here, life follows the rhythm of the herd and the seasons, surrounded by meadows, orchards and woods.
Valérie and Philippe raise their goats in a natural environment and produce a variety of raw milk cheeses, yogurts and even handmade soaps, directly at the farm. Visitors can discover the daily workings of the goat farm and taste the farm’s delicious products. Their fresh goat cheese is particularly popular with locals and even won a silver medal at a regional competition.
In the morning, you'll spot the goats grazing in the fields and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Ardennes countryside, with your spacious hideaway set in a meadow surrounded by woodland and pastures. Between feeding the animals, collecting eggs, walking the donkeys or cooking pizzas in the wood-fired oven, every day on the farm is an adventure for the whole family.
New
Opening in May
After very different professional paths, Valérie and Philippe started their goat farm together in 2012. Philippe previously worked in international development cooperation around the world, while Valérie worked as an agricultural advisor.
Today they raise a herd of 70 goats on the meadows of Hayon and produce cheeses, yoghurts and other farm products. They live in the nearby village but spend most of their days at the farm.
Their goal: to share their passion for agriculture and welcome families who want to experience life on a small artisan goat farm.
