Discover De Zeekraal in Terschelling. On this dairy farm there are 250 Friesian milking sheep under the care of Jolanda and farmer Gerben. They are happy to show you how they milk these sheep every day. Your tent is located at the edge of the farm, with a view of the meadows where the sheep graze.

The island feeling

Fancy a day out? Not far from De Zeekraal is a special place, the vast Boschplaat nature reserve. A wonderful place for a stroll! West-Terschelling, with its famous Brandaris, is also worth a visit. You can make several fishing- and boat trips here! Of course a relaxing day at the beach is also possible.

What to do on De Zeekral

Watch Jolanda and Gerben make cheese and ice cream from the sheep’s milk! Do crafts, read or play a game. A trip to the honesty shop is a must on this farm. Get typical Terschelling products like cranberries and delicious Wadden mustard, but also the homemade sheep cheese and ice cream made by the farmers. Sit down with your ice cream in front of your tent and enjoy the fresh sea breeze. Cook outside on the wood stove, roast some marshmallows for dessert and dive into your comfy bed after a day full of island adventures. This is pure enjoyment!

We keep hundreds of sheep on our farm, we all make delicious products from the milk. We have set up the barn in such a way that everyone can see how we milk the sheep.

We are happy to tell you everything about our sheep and the products we make from the sheep's milk.
