Discover our newest farm, a modern farm of the Vansevenant family in Torhout. Here Wim, Vicky and the children live together with their sheep. You may not be completely unfamiliar with the name 'Vansevenant', because Wim is a well-known ex-cyclist from Belgium. Wim is the son of a farmer and after cycling he picked up his great passion for farm life again. Potatoes, spinach, corn and wheat are grown on their farm. The tent houses are spread over the terrain in the middle of the sheep. The Vansevenant family welcomes you to Landgoed ter Wijnendale.

What to do at the farm

Do you want to clear your head completely? Then you are in the right place at this farm. Here you can explore the peacefulness of nature. The farm is really small-scale: there are only 3 canvas hideaways on the site. Enjoy a lot of peace, nature and the rural surroundings of Torhout. The farmer is happy to teach you all about arable farming or you can help him feed the sheep. Wake up in the morning to the most beautiful bird orchestra you've ever heard. Here, you finally experience what it's like when days seem to last forever. Enjoy quality time with the family, a good book in the sun, extensive dining and lots of games. Immerse yourself in Belgian country life.

The farm is located on the edge of a forest: perfect for long walks. In 2 minutes you are already in the Wijnendale forest and you can regularly spot deer here. Fancy a cooling day at the beach or a breath of fresh air? Within 30 minutes you are on the beach of Ostend.

Of course you should not forget the impressive castle of Wijnendale. In the summer months you can visit this historic moated castle. Learn all about the Counts of Flanders and Dukes of Burgundy here. Or visit the mustard museum, ice cream farm Moereveld or brasserie Heuvelhof. You definitely won't be bored exploring this idyllic area.

Come and experience our beautiful farm in the wooded Torhout. We grow different crops here from potatoes to spinach and many lambs are born here every year. Will you come and bottle feed them?
