Farm stays under canvas

We love our stays at Warren Farm - it feels like coming home! Kate and James are wonderful hosts and the farm is set into such beautiful countryside. We have been several times in both canvas and wooden lodge. Both are so well organised and laid out. We appreciate the opportunity to be forced to slow down, wait for fires to heat up, cook together round one pan and not have the distractions of electronic devices, electricity and WiFi! Stunning walks right from your doorstep across miles of Cheddar plus there is more touristy things down in the gorge (if that's your thing). There is also a Sainsburys for last minute fresh provisions but don't forget the honesty shop at the farm which is great for the bits that you have forgotten! Feather Down Farms are somewhere you go to switch off, take a break from the crazy speeds we seem to live at and go back to basics. Everything is always clean. The flushing toilet and real beds mean you are far from roughing it and there is ample cooking equipment in the kitchen. It's a wonderful way to spend a few days with the family.

We had a brilliant time and the cabin was perfect for us. The kids loved looking after the chickens and collecting eggs. Warren Farm is a friendly, beautiful and very well kept campsite and really well run by Kate and James. We would highly recommend this for a fab holiday especially with kids!

We came to Featherdown as a family. Everything about the experience was exceptional from the welcome that we received on arrival, to our first glance of the amazing accommodation to the cow milking experience. We cannot recommend it highly enough. Book now or you will regret it ... We are returning as soon as we can next year.

Just the most idyllic break! Nothing could be better as a family, now considering a romantic break for just me & the husband. Foxglove farm is wonderful, we will be back! Kathe & Simon are so lovely, kids loved the trailer rides! Being able to order their produce really added to the whole experience.

A wonderful off grid experience. Our very first time camping and it was so wonderful to wake up to the sound of birds and go to sleep to the sound of nature. The location was perfect and the amenities were spot on. We enjoyed the whole experience. We became professionals at starting the fires for the hot tub, s’mores and warming the place as well as the cooker. The hot shower is a great addition love the bucket idea so cool. Everything you need is there so there wasn’t much to pack and the honesty shop on site was great for the few things we forgot to get. We also got to pay before we left which was excellent. You’re left to be free no one checking in which is a great escape.

Excellent. Lucy was the perfect host - attentive, friendly, efficient and helpful. College Farm was an excellent base for exploring this lovely area which has so much to offer. On site our children loved the communal trampoline and straw barn which was a great place to make friends. We really enjoyed the peaceful setting. A great Featherdown experience. Thank you!
