Going without electricity is our greatest luxury!

Your canvas hideaway consists of three bedrooms, equipped with premium, unbelievably comfortable mattresses. You will find a spacious double bed, a cosy cupboard bed, and a handy bunk bed, ideal for up to 5 adults and a child up to 12 years old. Your kitchen is also fully equipped, guaranteeing the tastiest meals on your own wood-burning stove, and don't forget your own flushing toilet and private shower.

We booked the 10-man tent at Billingsmoor for a girlie and kids trip (4 girls and 6 kids).The kids range from 2 and a half and 11 and a mixture of boys and girls. The whole experience was great. We opted for the ready bed service which was less of a faff on arrival and it was great that there were logs and kindling already in the tent waiting for us. Jayne and the family were so welcoming - a little tour of where things were when we arrived and literally then left us to our own devices, but always there if we had any questions at all. One night her son lit the woodier oven in our field so that the kids could cook pizzas - and they absolutely adored it. We were really lucky with the weather - which meant that it wasn't a sweaty experience, but the short stroll to the shower cubicle was easy and the water was hot and the showers powerful. The kids adored running around the fields and playing in the open - lots of space and although 8 tents - the 10-man tent is set on it's own and really private. We went to the coast on both Saturday (Beer and Seaton) and Sunday (Lyme Regis) and they were each 40-45 minutes away and just lovely. We had a brilliant time and everyone is already asking if we can do it every year. Thanks for everything Jayne and Family... xxx

We all had a fabulous time. Children and parents alike relaxed very quickly - tent was wonderful - beds were comfortable - showers were lovely and hot - John was really helpful and friendly - animals were lovely - Hidcote Manor gardens were gorgeous. Cool box worked! We still had ice cubes after 50+ hours - wow!

we had a great time at the farm - our 5th year of Featherdown - thanks to Mike and Anna - very hospitable! one comment- the grass needed to be cut around the tents - it was very long and very wet.

We had a lovely stay. Hill Farm is beautiful and had everything we needed. Our girls loved making new friends, playing in the play area, and egg collecting and animal feeding time. We enjoyed sitting round the campfire toasting marshmallows and looking out at the beautiful view. Peter was a great, accommodating, friendly host. This was our first Featherdown experience and we loved it. We'll be back for more!

Yes we had a fantastic stay,everything was perfect, the children loved it especially collecting the fresh eggs everyday and feeding the goats the scenery was fab too our tent was in such a fantastic position overlooking the mendips!james,Kate and family were very helpful,approachable and welcoming during our stay we had such great weather too so all in all we will be definitely returning!

We stayed for 3 nights and had a really wonderful time. Ameland is relaxed and tranquil with beautiful villages and stunning beaches. Our children loved looking at the animals and playing on the trampoline. I only wish we had stayed for a week.
