Feather Down Farms has appointed Joris van Dijk as CEO. Joris van Dijk succeeds James Mennekens, who stepped down from his position in March 2023 but remains connected to BoerenBed as a shareholder.
Based in the Netherlands at the company headquarters, Joris van Dijk has previously held executive positions at a popular theme park in the Netherlands (Madurodam), top-league Dutch football club Feyenoord Rotterdam, as well as the Dutch State Lottery. He will further shape Feather Down Farms international growth strategy. Feather Down Farms aims to respond to the increasing demand for eco-friendly, off-grid holidays and expects to achieve substantial growth in both the number of locations and guest stays in the coming years.
Joris van Dijk stated, "Over the past 20 years, Feather Down, together with the farming businesses, has established a unique concept and a strong international brand. The desire to enjoy the tranquillity and space of nature at beautifully small-scale glamping locations is universal and timeless. Additionally, we will invest in the further development of our existing and new locations in Europe."
