Farm stays under canvas

The whole experience was fantastic. The Bartlett's are great hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The location itself is beautiful and our 6 yr old son had a great time exploring and making new friends all within our eyesight. He got to feed the horses and bottle feed the goats aswell as play with the farm's 2 dogs & cat on a daily basis and no mention of computer or television the whole time we were there! I can't recommend the experience enough and in particular East Shilvinghampton Farm for a wonderful holiday.

A great week, really relaxed and perfect for my 8 year old daughter - she loved the freedom she had to collect eggs and feed the animals. I would thoroughly recommend it. James and Kate (the owners) were also brilliant.....really helpful, going out of their way to let my daughter help with feeding times. They even turned up with a balloon and chocolates for the son's 15th birthday.

The location of the tent was beautifully quiet, especially as there were only four other tents spread out in the field. Our two young children loved playing amongst the friendly sheep who roam around the tents in the same field, and they were thrilled to collect fresh eggs from the chickens each morning.

We had a fantastic weekend. From start to finish the Watts family were on hand to help with anything we needed. The freshly made pizza's from the on site brick oven was a fantastic touch. The tents were immaculate, the beds incredibly comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking breakfast on the traditional fire stove. _x000D_ I would recommend Moore farm Feather Down to anyone who fancies the authentic countryside holiday.

We had the most wonderful stay at Moor Farm. We arrived on a damp Friday afternoon, but that was soon dispelled by the warmth of the welcome from the Watts family. Richard helped us to take our kit up to the tent and was cheerful, informative and fun. Our 5 year old looked enviously at the quad bike, and was rewarded with a personal ride by Richard. This was indicative of how well we were looked after. The weather during our stay was a bit variable but even in the rain, the tent was very cozy and comfortable. Matthew, Wendy and Richard produced a superb pizza evening, and we really enjoyed the farm tour. Our youngster was thrilled to help Matthew feed the calves and pigs, and Dad learned a lot as well. Nothing was too much trouble, we were encouraged to go scrumping in the orchards and check our own hen house for eggs, the freshest we will ever have. Truly a lovely weekend, we feel privileged to have been part of Moor Farm for a few days. Can't thank them enough, and would love to return.

Absolutely fantastic time! Our 3 children had a great time. We literally could not fault it! The farm hosts were so welcoming and helpful. Our young children had freedom and played safety with so must to do and get involved with. The place was just perfect and we are booking to come again!!
