Wambrook is run by the Ed, Elena and the Eames family where you’ll learn lots about organic and sustainable farming. It is a mixed farm with wheat and barley crops as well as sheep and Aberdeen Angus cattle and they also have a solar farm and biomass heating. Your tents are located throughout the farm’s meadow and boast stunning views of the Blackdown Hills, the ideal spot for a family holiday in Somerset and Dorset.
You are in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so make the most of the charms of the landscape and villages around you. Further afield, there is much to discover. Why not pop down to the beach at Lyme Regis 30 minutes away, the ‘Pearl of Dorset’ and stop on the way for a traditional afternoon tea. For something a little different, Forde Abbey and gardens, Fleet Air Museum, Crealy Adventure Park, and Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary are all within easy reach.
Your canvas hideaway is the perfect place to relax and play. Local wildlife abounds in the surrounding fields. The village pub is just a short walk away and comes highly recommended as does the well stocked honesty shop. After a full day on the farm, tuck yourselves into your comfy beds for a good night’s sleep.
