Lovely luxury camping Bedfordshire holidays

A Bedfordshire glamping holiday with Feather Down will be a rejuvenating experience for all. It offers an eclectic range of delights, from hiking through scenic hills to unwinding in a country pub. Visit the numerous landmarks and tourist attractions or just relax at the fantastic glamping site, New Barn Farm. The farm is located near Carlton and is just a 35-minute train ride from London.

Time to relax and be in the moment

Bedfordshire is overflowing with beautiful countryside, the perfect place to find some peace and quiet. Marston Vale is part rich woodland and part environmental project, created to regenerate land marred by industrialisation. Elsewhere, you can enjoy stunning views of southern England from the magnificent Dunstable Downs in the Chiltern Hills.

A county steeped in history

Bedfordshire is rich in historical landmarks, and there’s plenty to intrigue whether you have a passing or passionate interest in history. The Glenn Miller Museum in particular is is well worth a visit. It’s built in place where the legendary WWII bandleader gave his last concert before boarding a plane that mysteriously disappeared. The majestic estate of Luton Hoo also has a storied past, and has even appeared in classic films such as Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Inky sky and twinkling stars

This beloved glamping destination is closer than you think – just 30 minutes’ drive from the M1. The farm is nestled in the Ouse valley, so there’s an abundance of natural life all around. The smog and noise of the city should feel a million miles away as you breathe the clean country air. Experience farm life with goats, pigs, ponies, horses, donkey, chickens and ducks. A holiday in Bedfordshire, with its walking trails and abundant woodland, is a true adventure in the countryside.

Honesty shop is an excellent asset, I packed all sorts that I didn’t need. Prices are the same as a local supermarket. The fridges in the shop are great so cold beer is always available....

The walks that Hannah and will have mapped out are very good and the honesty shop is great . There's pretty much all you need there and a local shop in the village for anything they don't have. The small animals area is great for little ones and my girls loved the pony gromming session. Pizza night was a great opportunity to eat with the other families on site and the pizza was delish . Really enjoyed cooking on the stove and outside using the campsite grill . Our hosts were really welcoming and helpful , even taking us too and from the tent on occasions

This is a comment to Feather Dawn as there is no space in this survey to add additional message - strange... The communal shower were very far away from our tent. We would suggest adding a couple of shower closer to the tents at the bottom.

The pizza night was even better than expected so well worth doing. If the farmers put on a cooked breakfast we'd definitely have taken them up on it! We opted to have chickens by the tent, they were a huge hit with the children and we got a few eggs too. The "extras" were great for older kid but maybe there could be a few options for pre-schoolers - a trip around the farm on the "mule" or an egg hunt etc. However, there was plenty of fun to be had without these added options.
