Bucklebury Reading is set on 77 acres of rolling parkland in the glorious West Berkshire countryside. Nestled on the edge of Bucklebury Village, this stunning glamping experience provides everything a family holiday needs! The sprawling farm and deer safari park is much more than a working farm. The team prides itself on fostering a love for the great outdoors and educating their guests about produce.
Situated between Newbury and Reading, Bucklebury Reading provides a pastoral experience that will keep your little ones entertained for hours! Activities include tractor rides and “Be a Farmer for the day” where your little budding farmer gets to go behind the scenes and see what a farmer does in a day. Bucklebury Reading is a hive of farm activity that adults and children will love!
In addition, it is home to a variety of deer– Red, Sika, Fallow and Axis, rare breed Berkshire pigs, pygmy and Anglo-Nubian goats, Dexter cattle, ponies, donkeys, poultry, guinea fowl and even reindeer! Visitors partial to an adrenaline rush can explore the adventure playground, take a go-kart for a spin or get creative in the den-building area. If you prefer a little less adventure, then a stroll through this peaceful country retreat will enliven the senses. The woodland offers nature trails, a trickling stream and a tapestry of beautiful flora and fauna.
The home county of Berkshire is bathed in History, and a two-minute stroll from Bucklebury Reading. 900 years of history are gloriously exhibited across the 1600 acres of prime Pang Valley land. It is the oldest landed Estate in Berkshire and one of the oldest Estate’s in the country, Bucklebury Village was even recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086! Travel a further 20 minutes and marvel at Highclere Estate. You may recognise this palatial building from the award-winning TV series Downtown Abbey. Relive the life of Lady Mary as you stroll these historical grounds. Active folks will adore Bucklebury’s surrounding areas, with ample areas to ride bikes, run and take in the country air.
