Game On cooking cookery class
At Feather Down you can rely on enjoying quality food together. It is not only that food simply tastes better after a day outdoors and that the whole family pitches in – no-one getting the job to cook alone. At the farms, the produce can be pre-ordered or bought at the farm shop, fresh. But how to prepare and cook the tasty, exotic game meat you might be able to buy?
Feather Down family holidays for foodies
Upper Shadymoor Farm in Shropshire is now setting the standard, offering their “Game On” game meat cookery school on weekends. So, take the chance to learn creative ways with succulent pheasant, venison and trout dishes during a two- to three-hour session. Finally, enjoy a medley of amazing game dishes.
Game on cooking in the farmhouse kitchen or open barn, depending on the weather. Either way, there will be starling gourmet tastes sensations for meat and fish lovers! It may be alfresco, in the wainhouse or within a radius of the farmhouse AGA cooker.
The cost is £65.00 per person for a minimum of four people and a maximum of ten. It can be on any weekend outside of holidays and bank holidays. This offer can, however, be taken on the weekends starting Friday 1st April and Friday 8th April, which depending on your area, may be within your Easter school holidays. The minimum 4 people participating would still apply.
