Many of our farms are happy to welcome your dog along on holiday with you. After all, they are part of the family. However, your dog must be kept on a lead on the farm and you can only take a maximum of two per tent. Otherwise the lives of the farm animals risk being disturbed, however friendly your dogs may be.

It was no coincidence that the new word ‘glamping’ was coined by a journalist around the time we launched to describe what was on offer at Feather Down. We are proud to have been a pioneer for a new way of holidaying but with some of the elaborate tree-houses and palatial yurts on offer today under the banner of ‘glamping’, we feel that some of the original simplicity has been lost. A Feather Down holiday is about escaping to a simpler way of life and that’s what we focus on now, whether it’s our wi-fi and electricity free tents, our straightforward pricing or our no-fuss website.
