This family-run farm is just 30 miles from Dunkirk, the scene of the WWII D-Day landings. The farm has been part of the landscape for many years. It was built around 1850 and has the distinctive Flemish roof. West Flanders, the most westerly province of the Flemish Region is the only coastal province in Belgium. It borders the Netherlands, the Flemish province of East Flanders and the Walloon province of Hainaut. To the west you will find the stunning historical city of Bruges, the capital. This merchant city is also a Unesco World Heritage City. Get lost in the medieval cobbled streets and take in the views of the Belfry, Rose Hat Quai and the courtyard of the Hof Bladelin. If you fancy kicking back and relaxing, then De Halve Maan, the city brewery is the perfect place to chill with the best of Belgian beer.

Kortrijk is another beautiful Belgian city, the Broel towers on the River Leie date back as far as 1385 and are well worth a visit. For a little sea air, you simply must visit the coastal town of Oostende. Is the perfect place to escape to, especially when the sun is shining! This area offers a golden beach, fresh seafood, fishing and for the culture vulture among you, the Ensor museum is an invitation to the early 20th century, into the world of the Ostend artist. The capital Brussels and cities such as Ghent and Mechelen are also well worth a visit. Antwerp with its beautiful Flemish Renaissance architecture and centuries-old Diamond District is a favourite for many also.
