In August 2006, Anna and Will opened the UK’s first Feather Down farm, Manor Farm. Only an hour from London, it remains a tranquil oasis of calm within the South Downs National Park, a classic English landscape of rolling hills and sunken lanes. Manor farm is comprised of arable crops, cattle and a large flock of sheep that graze the network of water meadows. Guests young and old are always delighted by the farm buggy on which they join in with the checking of the animals, and many of the guests find the campsite environment so relaxing they rarely venture outside of it.
In this rural paradise there is still luxury to be enjoyed, whether it’s sitting out in a hot tub looking up at the stars or in a ‘frills’ tent with its own ensuite shower. The tents are situated in the old farm orchard under trees or amongst the hedgerows and are arranged for privacy while also being well placed for groups. Some tents face onto the orchard towards the lamb paddock, while others have excellent views over the farmland towards Alton and beyond. Each tent has its own campfire site for cooking hearty stews. Grand barbecues are often enjoyed here, and we can make sure that you are feasting on the finest of produce while drinking in the sunset.
Wandering off site, there are great local pubs within walking distance, including the Three Horseshoes in East Worldham. For those who love a dip, there’s wild swimming at Frensham Ponds or a more traditional paddle at West Wittering and Hayling Island at the coast an hour away.
Alice Holt Forest has walking trails and bike hire for all ages, and Go Ape in the Treetops for juniors and adults. Thomas the Tank Engine often visits the Watercress Line, and another book-based attraction is Jane Austen’s charming house in neighbouring Chawton. Climbing the Zig Zag in Selborne is worth it for the view, and the New Forest and Peppa Pig World are also easily accessible.

We had a lovely time. Made to feel so welcome by Anna and Will.Travelled with 2 kids aged 15 and 8 and would certainly recommend it for other families, as it was a really good family bonding time. No Phones, no Ipads, no Gadgets (we borrowed games from the Honesty shop) - good times!.Everyone wants to come back!, can't say better than that!!
Mr. Jones (10)
Mrs. James (10)
A lovely, relaxing break made extra special by Will and Anna's friendly welcome.
Mr. Bennion-Pedley (10)
Fantastic stay, helpful hosts and - importantly for us - a featherdown where dogs can run off lead in an area close to the tents. (Much easier than having to trek off!) The whole family (dog included) had a ball. West Wittering beach close by is to be recommended and a good local pub with lovely food within easy walking distance. Fab!
Mrs. Brooker (10)
Our stay at Featherdown Manor Farm was amazing! I had wanted to try featherdowning for some years and it exceeded my expectations. We were a three generation tent- from little grandsons to us, the "Gramping" oldies. The welcome we had from Anna and Will was warm and attentive but never intrusive, and the farm tour was a smashing experience. We soon got into the rhythms which revolved around the lighting and maintaining of the stove. Actually feeling the morning cold before the stove got going, and the need for extra blankets and thick jumpers was an important part of the experience. The two white free ranging hens adopted us and were the first visitors into and around the tent each day - they'd learnt that toddlers mean crumbs. Much to our surprise our dog totally ignored them! We all felt refreshed by the gentle rhythms and the genuine return to slow living close to the outdoors. It's now to become an annual event and I'd be surprised if our other offspring don't cotton on to this quite quickly! We were due to leave on Monday morning, but with the sun shining and the stove smouldering it was a real wrench! Houses are over-rated!
Mrs. Warwick (10)
Wonderful weekend away...the children had an amazing time and loved all the animals ...the farm tour was a highlight
Mrs. Nicholls (10)
Fantastic. Great fun for the whole family.
Mrs. Secretan (10)
Exciting yet revitalising
Mr. Hodges (10)
We had an absolutely lovely time.
Ms. Playford (10)
Mrs. Spencer-Smith (10)
Our second Featherdown experience certainly didn't disappoint and the tents still have the 'wow factor' for us! Our 10 and 7 year olds loved the freedom to explore the fabulous setting with newly made friends and we all enjoyed our personal tour of the farm in a buggy. Thank you to Anna and Will for being wonderful hosts - we will be back!
Mrs. Portelli (10)
A wonderful time our whole family enjoyed. The farm was gorgeous, the tents were so comfortable, and Anna & Will were incredibly welcoming and helpful with recommendations. We highly recommend Manor Farm
M Ross (10)
Relaxed and peaceful. With beautiful scenery and sunsets to remember. Food lovers paradise especially with using the dutch oven with annas stew ingredients.
Miss Caldwell (8.8)
Will and Anna were fantastic hosts. The site is very user friendly with all that you need for an excellent stay having been considered. Luke's farm tour was a highlight and we were lucky to be there for sheep shearing day. There is lots to do near by and the farm is only an hour from London. Highly recommended!
Mrs. Watford (10)
Manor Farm in Hampshire is the perfect glamping destination. We watched the stars from our very warm hot tubs and had great outdoors showers in the morning. We were given a private farm tour which was fascinating and we watched the wheat being harvested over the weekend. The views are amazing and Anna and Will warm and welcoming. Wished we could have stayed longer!
Mrs Robertson (10)
We stayed for a week at the end of July 2016. It was wonderful and relaxing. Anna and Will were lovely and attentive hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The tents were fab maybe a bit more spacious than I had imagined, however warm and cozy in the evenings. It was a welcome retreat from modern technology and the general fast pace of life. Our two children thoroughly enjoyed the freedom to roam (to the lamb field)and explore. They made lots of new friends and we would definitely go back again!
Mrs. Broad (10)
Fantastic holiday! We absolutely loved our stay at Manor Farm. Such a friendly welcome from Anna and Will.
Mrs. Finlay (10)
It was everything it promised to be. For us it was the perfect balance between back to basics living and a few necessary creature comforts! Anna and Will were fantastic hosts, incredibly hospitable and helpful would highly recommend a stay at Manor Farm. Special mention for Luke and his guided tour of the farm our girls absolutely loved it! Their highlight of the stay was definitely herding escaped sheep! Thanks again for a great break!
Mr. Lancaster (10)
We had a superb time on the farm; lovely accommodating hosts in Will and Anna, exceptionally comfortable tent thingies, and a wonderful location. All worked really well as a rural break for four city-dwellers. Thanks.
Mr. Rampton (10)
A wonderful and relaxing holiday hosted by a lovely family. The location is quiet and extremely tranquil and a perfect place to be with nature. Completely child friendly but each individual site secluded enough to be private for each family. Also very dog friendly (our two had a ball!). This is our second time .... So far. I can honestly say that we don't normally go to the same place twice but here we are planning a third!
Mrs. Bailey (10)
Really good fun. We had two tents for family members aged between 6 weeks and 70 years. Everyone loved the holiday and want to return.
Ms. Chevalier (10)
Get away from everything - very relaxing
Mrs. Fenn (10)
Great midweek break. A welcome respite from work chaos in a tranquil and peaceful setting. Kids really loved glamping with creature comforts and hot tub!
Mr. Ikeda (8.8)
A wonderful holiday experience for children and adults alike. The 'cabins' are such fun to stay in with lots of home comforts. Really comfortable big beds, hot tub, shower and toilet, full size dining table, hammock, bread oven, farm tours, sheep, chickens providing fresh eggs every morning. We can't wait to return!
Mrs. Coss (10)
Very good Anna & Will are great
Lady Mccoy (10)
Our third year at Manor Farm and we're already working out dates for next year. Anna and Will are brilliant hosts (as are Wil's parents when the rugby is on!) and the farm is perfectly situated for a weekend getaway from London.
Mrs. Whybrow (10)
The most relaxing holiday we have had. It was our first glamping experience with our 2 year old and he loved it wd created so many memories and learnt how to take things slowly (something we will try and continue!) Can't wait to return.
Mrs. Pearce (10.0)
Totally relaxing break in a beautiful location. Sat in a hot tub watching the sunset was utterly blissful
Mrs. Agar (10.0)
Featherdown provides the perfect setting for a much needed rest and the chance to slow the pace of life down. It's a wonderful place to create memories with your family and so well equipped and thought out in order to make your stay comfortable whilst still being a back to basics experience. The children loved lighting fires, running free, playing in the hot tub, hopping on the buggy with the farmer and having a bbq for breakfast lunch and dinner!
Mrs. Wells (10.0)
Mrs. Ketchin (10.0)
Absolutely wonderful, relaxed and great facilities. Camping without the hassle and stress!
Mrs. Waters (10.0)
A fantastic break for the whole family!
Mr. Herbert (10.0)
Brilliant place to stay and ideal for family enjoyment and not too far from London with Winchester nearby also. Anna was extremely helpful and with great suggestions of places to eat nearby and what to do. The farm tour with Will is the BEST.
Mr. Mistry (10.0)
we have been to many farms with you and our children always love the stay this one was great the boys made good friends and the hot tubs a first for us at feather down , was a great extra to have Anna and will were great hosts .
Mrs. Lewis (10.0)
A wonderful family weekend. Our daughter loved being around so many farm animals and the farm tour was a real highlight. The tent was even more charming and comfortable than we had expected from the pictures and we were spoilt for choice with options for walks, bike rides and outings. Will and Anna were attentive and welcoming hosts and we appreciated their attention to many details to make our stay even more memorable. We'd love to come back.
Mrs. Nellenbach (10.0)
We were looking for something different, this definitely ticked the box. Good accommodation. Especially liked the layout of the living area, and what an experience cooking, not to be missed! Plenty of safe open space with lots of different walks. Good pubs locally with excellent food. Will and Anna were excellent hosts, they could not of done more.
Mr. Barton (10.0)
A brilliant experience where we all slowed down and focused purely on building fires, cooking, staying warm and having fun. It was great to be on a working farm, where the kids got to be up close with the animals, and every day we could collect freshly laid eggs from the chickens (warm, delicious and very free range).
Mrs. Brunner (10.0)

Mrs. Brunner (10)
Fantastic, everything the brochure promised and more....
Mrs. Farthing (10.0)
We were delighted with the experience that we had from Feather Down farm and were particularly pleased with the call before our holiday from Featherdown to get information on us as a family and what we liked etc... great touch and something we have not experienced before. Facilities were well maintained and appropriate for the type of holiday that we were on. Loved the hot tub and once I learned how to keep it hot, it added a real memory for us and one that I am sure will outlast other foreign holiday memories. I think that because we were so prepared for all types of weather the fact that it rained for 3 days was not a problem and actually added to our fun with silly games etc.... The staff were very good and any questions were answered quickly and to our complete satisfaction. There is a quiet efficiency of all the staff that we met and nothing is too much trouble. Great holiday, great times and we will definitely be back. Regards Colin, Sarah, Lily and Jacob.
Mr. Bond (10.0)
We had the best time, before we left we were planning our next visit. Just perfect.
Mrs. Bomber (10.0)
Absolutely fantastic. We could not fault it in anyway. From the warm welcome from Anna and Will (and Luke) to the moment we left, the experience was a resounding 10/10
Mr Barnes (10.0)
Fantastic - great to let the boys go wild. We all had a great time. Glamping hit the spot - sufficiently comfortable but we still had to work a bit for it! We thought it may be too cold in April but we were fine - the cupboard bed was super cosy.
Mrs. Strachan (10.0)
We visited Manor Farm with our two daughters aged 7yrs and 5yrs and were made to feel welcome from the second we arrived. Our tent was spacious, clean and well stocked, with very comfortable beds and decent shower and loo. The girls loved the cupboard bed and had fun playing hide and seek in all the tent's nooks and crannies. We had booked a Frills tent with hot tub and despite the cool weather the children loved having a splash! On the farm tour we were privileged to witness twin lambs being born - the children were thrilled and will cherish the experience for a long time. Feather Down Farm is a wonderful holiday concept. You have access to all the mod cons you could wish for, whilst still feeling that you are enjoying nature. Life slows down to a gentle pace and your priority becomes keeping the stove going and generating a steady supply of hot water. Although we didn't use our phones much, we were secretly pleased to discover that the 4G signal at Manor Farm was better than at home :)
Mrs. Sims (10.0)
This was our second visit to Manor Farm and we enjoyed every bit as much as our first. The farm was a lot quieter on this occasion but it did not detract from the fun at all and if anything, the feeling of having the farm to ourselves, was even better.Anna and Will were perfect hosts once again and remembered us from our visit two years ago which was lovely. We were made to feel at home right away.We love the camping in Autumn when the nights are colder and darker. The campfire keeps you cosy and it is so nice to get the family together in the candlelight playing games and not being distracted by technology.
Mr. Douglas (10.0)
Very relaxing, the time just flew by.
Mr. Hourigan (10.0)
Anna and Will were extremely welcoming, and the whole weekend was fantastic. The canvas accommodation exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable and the hot tub was superb, I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Anna and Will checked on us every morning and evening to make sure everything was ok, and on Sunday morning Will took us on his jeep around his farm, which we noticed he did also with our campers, a great added touch. The honesty shop was also an added bonus for such essentials as ice cream and marshmallows to toast around our fire, a massive thank you
Mr. Byrth (10.0)
Staying at Featherdown Manor Farm was by far one of the best family holidays we have ever had. We stayed in September with our 16 month old son and it was perfect. He loved the farm, especially collecting the eggs in the morning. It was beginning to get cold but the tent was lovely and warm during the day and the night. The wood burning stove meant the tent was cosy at all times. We had a fire guard which meant it was safe for him to walk about. It was pretty special showering outside and we were really surprised how hot it got! I would definitely recommend hiring a tent with a hot tub, it was amazing and meant we came home the most relaxed we've been in ages! The farm tour was great and Anna and Will couldn't of made us feel more at home. We're already looking at dates for next year.
Ms. Harley (10.0)
A beautiful way to escape the modern day.
Mr. Henley (10.0)
Fabulous family fun getting away from everyday life
Mrs. Brook-Carter (10.0)
Felt great to 'get back to basics' no electronics for adults or children. Tent was surprisingly warm using wood burner first & last thing each day, beds comfy & plenty of space. Kids loved the outside shower/hot tub/fire pit! Anna & Will very welcoming & always around if you needed them. I would recommend ordered the fresh bakery products & BBQ pack & arrival meal - all excellent quality & value.
Mrs. Murphy (10.0)
A relaxing experience for us grown ups, yet still full of new experiences and fun things to do for the kids. A refreshing change from the world of computer games and technology. Our 10 year old boys loved playing out, learning about the farm and collecting eggs. Their imagination was brought back to life!
Ms. Robinson (8.8)
Mrs. Skelton (10.0)
wonderful, idyllic, very hospitable hosts
Mrs. Steed (10.0)
Beautiful setting and great hosts.Would have liked more meat in the shop. The hot tub stove was very dangerous as hot. Could have done with some lagging for protection.
Mrs. Payne (8.8)
Mr. Stanton (10.0)
Really enjoyable - back to nature with the children in a welcoming and safe environment - the sign on the Honesty Shop saying 'Free Range Children' summed it up perfectly!
Mrs. Laud (10.0)
Great fun...lovely people....
Mrs. Ivell (10.0)
Will and Anna were the most wonderful hosts, with the right level of interaction and leaving us be. We were so impressed with the facilities, cleanliness ad general set up and will be recommending this to all friends and family as a fantastic long weekends break!
Mr. Hendin (10.0)
Relaxing. Enjoyable. Fun.
Mrs. Whybrow (10.0)
Very peaceful and allowed us to be at one with nature. Loved hearing the dawn chorus and watching the sunsets - didn't need to use the communal shower block as we had our own shower
Mrs. Derrick (10.0)
Amazing weekend. We booked the whole site for 7 families. So nice for the kids to be free range (compared to structured London living) and so relaxing for the parents. No schedules or cars, just fun, relaxation and good times. Anna and Will are fabulous hosts who couldn't have done enough for us - so thoughtful and helpful. And Luke's farm tours were great fun and really interesting. Tents superb and loving the new gas showers! Thank you all very much.
Mrs. Michaelides (10.0)
Fab! I could not recommend a stay with Manor Farm enough. I took my family for a mid week break. If we could, we would of stayed longer. We were well looked after, the location were perfect. A fab stay, really enjoyed it.
Miss Morris (10.0)
Relaxed and adventurous. Very comfortable.
Mrs. Borman (10.0)
We had a great time. The kids love going to feather down. Weather was not very good but kids absolutely had a fantastic time. Manor Farm is so beautiful and peaceful. Anna and Will well great at looking after us.
Mrs. Marti (10.0)
We had a great time at Manor Farm, the facilities are great and there is plenty to do. The honesty shop is very handy and has just the right range of goods that may be required on a weekend break.Anna and Will were wonderful hosts, and a special mention goes to the farm tour.
Ms. Sassoon (10.0)
Wonderful. We enjoyed every minute!
Mrs. Fitzhugh (10.0)
It was everything we expected and more! The first time we've been able to properly unwind in years. The kids truly experienced the free range lifestyle just enjoying being outdoors and making their own adventures without any gadgets or electronics in sight. Truly grateful for such a lovely stay - thank you Featherdown farms and thank you to Will and Anna and their family for such a magical break.
Ms. Beesley (10.0)
Anna and a Will were outstanding in the care and attention they gave our party during our stay.
Mrs. Collins (8.8)
I've had weeks in Egypt, Greece, Cuba... last week at Manor Farm was by far the BEST! It was whole and hearty family time, friend time, me time. Anna, Will and Luke took great care of us, we felt valued and welcome. The farm is beautifully tranquil, we saw red kites, roe deer (and of course the sheep, chickens, cows, alpaca, dogs), all with the perfect backdrop of valley and hills.A very rare and special "don't want to go home!" from us :-D
Miss Morgan (10.0)
it's always good, and this was no exception; both I and the children love coming. The farm visit is a great part of the weekend
Mr. Firth (10.0)
Mrs. Tame (10.0)
Tranquil, relaxing and a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of London. Everything a proper holiday should be!
Mr. Turner (10.0)

Mrs. Moody (10.0)
Mrs. Titchner (10.0)
We thought the concept was lovely but it didn't really tick enough boxes to return.
Mrs. Harvey (6.0)
Invigorating and stimulating. Loved every minute.
Mr. Derry (10.0)
Happy kids = happy holiday, and our four (6,9,9 and 12) all want to go back. Now! The farm was an ideal place to experience an iPad free environment with zero complaints. Anna, Will, along with Lucy and Luke were just fantastic and made us welcome without being in any way intrusive. We will be back. The Lambing was an added bonus and made Easter a great time to go despite the colder nights.
Mr. Gee (10.0)
We loved every minute of the experience, except the cold nights, but that was expected for the time of year.
Mr. King (10.0)
We really enjoyed it. Anna and will were great hosts and the food was fab. It was camping but had some lovely luxury touches
Mrs. Lawrence (10.0)
Excellent and very enjoyable.
Mrs. Byde (10.0)
our stay with featherdown was amazing, from the warm welcome to the accommodation the whole thing is a brilliant experience. the location was perfect and the carefully thought out touches such as the food packs and the farm tour were just brilliant. _x000D_ _x000D_ we would defiantly come again.
Mr. Cozens (10.0)
We absolutely loved our time at Manor Farm, Alton. It was perfect for our two girls, lots of fun, interesting for us and them. Anna, Will and all of those we met on the farm couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Am already recommending it far and wide!
Mrs. Faro (10.0)
great opportunity to get away from it all and down to basics (without it being too basic) with lots of fresh air and beautiful scenery. The kids LOVED the farm tour and getting the fresh eggs.
Mrs. Godfray (8.8)
(btw this is a weirdly worded question)_x000D_ we had a really lovely few days with everything that we love about feather down - peace, beautiful greenery, friendly neighbours and hosts, great walks, lovely food, and getting back to a simpler life for a few days.
Mr. Silverman (10.0)
The experience was great fun, super staff especially Luke and the site was very clean. _x000D_ The location was perfect, easy to find also._x000D_ Having a hot tub was fabulous.
Mrs. Perry (8.8)
Being fairly inexperienced campers, we were unsure what to expect coming into the w/ end but we had a great time. Will and Anna were welcoming and informative and the welcome pack was full of great ideas and suggestions. We were blessed with glorious weather which helped but I am sure whatever the weather the tent is comfortable enough to feel cosy and home from home. Our children (4 and 7 years old) loved it, especially toasting marshmallows on the fire, splashing around in our own hot tub and sleeping in the cupboard bed.
Mrs. Phillips (10.0)
We've never been glamping before but our trip to Manor Farm was fabulous. So relaxing and enjoyable. Great view from our tent, the campsite was the perfect balance between home comforts and getting back to basics. Don't be in a rush to do anything.. just keep the fires stoked! Great shower and even better hot tub. Plenty of good places to visit, or just laze around and do nothing! Our dog Hugo also had a great time!
Mrs. Broad (10.0)
My husband and myself chose to have our Honeymoon at Manor Farm in Hampshire. We wanted to do something different, that would also keep our 4 year old son entertained! _x000D_ _x000D_ From the moment which we arrived, Anna and Will could not have been more welcoming. Everything was ready for us, including several crates of wood to get our hot tub and fires started, and we were shown where the Honesty Shop was and where we could collect freshly laid eggs in the morning._x000D_ _x000D_ The beds in our tent were so comfy and in particular, we all loved the cupboard bed, which was our son's 'room' for the holiday. The Farm was so peaceful during the night, and we loved waking up and opening up the canvas to watch the farm come to life in the morning._x000D_ _x000D_ We were also treated to a tour of the farm, on their ATV, and we didn't feel rushed, (although I am sure that Will had a million and one other things to do!). We went on a scavenger hunt, as suggested in the guest book, and also enjoyed trying to identify the various different animal prints and leaves, found around the farm._x000D_ _x000D_ Our son loved seeing the chickens every morning and was very proud of his first egg find, (despite the fact that he doesn't actually like eggs, he enjoyed collecting them and we couldn't walk past the chicken coop without stopping to have a look!)._x000D_ _x000D_ We were provided with candles, oil burning lanterns and torches during our stay. And we loved toasting crumpets on the campfire in the evening._x000D_ _x000D_ All I can say is that it was quite honestly the best holiday that we have ever been on, and the fact that it was our Honeymoon, made it even more special!_x000D_ _x000D_ Thank you so much to Anna and Will, (and the chickens for providing our breakfast!), for their kind hospitality!_x000D_ _x000D_ Fran and Malc Aylieff
Mrs. Aylieff (10.0)
The whole weekend was great. We had warm welcome from Will when we arrived, a great tour around the farm with Luca and lovely chats to Anna and the chidlren during the stay. The location was beautiful and the tents fantastic.
Mrs. Williams (10.0)
We loved the location and the old world charm of the tents. The kids particularly adored the 'cupboard' to sleep in and the different sized chairs around the table. The chickens kept us all amused as they wandered tamely around. Dad and son enjoyed collecting wood and making bonfires whilst Mum sat back with a glass of wine and admired the view over Alton!
Mrs. Rout (10.0)
We had a wonderful time, the tents are incredibly cosy but also brilliantly functional. Will and Anna were very accommodating and helpful at all times and the farm tour by Luke was a lovely addition.
Mr. Widdowson (10.0)
Friendly and welcoming. Nice Farm tour. Anna and Will always available. Tent fully equipped (lovely comfortable beds and warm duvets). Good shower block, exceptionally clean. Well stoced 'honesty shop'. Have passed on our recommendation to others.
Mr. Johnston (10.0)
Far exceed our already high expectations. We'll definitely return to this site and can't wait to discover others too._x000D_ A very special experience.
Mrs. Montague-Penn (10.0)
We had a fantastic experience at Manor Farm. The combination of the wood stove, cupboard bed and the tent made for a magical adventure for the children (and us)! We also really enjoyed Luke's farm tour, friendly chats with Will and Anna and exploring the local area. We can't recommend Manor Farm enough!
Mrs. Steed (10.0)
Thank you to Anna and Will for their fantastic hospitality at featherdown farm.... Warm, helpful and friendly. We have stayed at three different featherdown farms and this is our favourite. Great location, lovely farm, food in the honesty shop is delicious and the showers are good too. All make for a great week.
Mrs. Kay (10.0)
I booked this as my husband and kids were really keen to go camping but I'm not a naturally happy camper so this seemed like a good compromise. Once there it felt anything but a compromise, I am converted and can't wait to go again. Everything was an adventure but so relaxing. Our favourite parts were lighting fires, egg hunting and making pizzas al fresco.
Mrs. Chapman (10.0)
We had a really special holiday at Manor Farm, a fantastic spot where everyone was able to relax and enjoy the fun of camping.
Mr. Gosling (10.0)
We loved the fact we were personally contacted by Anna beforehand to answer any questions we might have had and to arrange arrival food - what a great idea! The tents are amazing and very well equipped. Our daughters (aged 4 & 7) instantly made friends with the children in the next door tent and spent a blissful week not noticing there was no TV, computer or 3DS! Great evenings spent around the campfire and beautiful sunsets. Anna, Will and Luke were brilliant hosts, not only checking everything was just as we wanted everyday, but taking the time for a friendly chat and making helpful recommendations for walks and visits. A fantastic farm tour with Luke is not to be missed!
Mr. Curtis (10.0)
We had a fantastic weekend, Will and Anna provided us with all the information we needed at the beginning of our holiday and came by each day to check that we were okay. It was a lovely relaxed break and the information folder of places to visit was very useful.
Mrs. Michaels (10.0)
The holiday was amazing. Our children loved collecting wood, playing with the chickens and having marshmallows. Was truly a holiday of a lifetime
Mrs. Jones (10.0)
The welcome, location and facilities at the location were exceptional. Everybody enjoyed the stay and the place is tailor made for children. New friends were made, and the "outdoor" experience was the highlight for all.
Mr. Wilder (10.0)
Our holiday was perfect! The whole experience was above and beyond our expectations._x000D_ From the moment we arrived we were warmly greeted and felt like part of the family._x000D_ Thank you so much to everyone for a wonderful relaxing break.
Mr. Bailey (10.0)
It was the most magical weekend, we forgot about the hussle and bussle of back home and TV etc and just relaxed and had so much fun all together as a family. Will definately be going back ! Told all our friends about it and one booked yesterday at the colchester farm !
Mr. Russell (10.0)
we loved every minute and only sorry we had to leave early (due to child's sickness)
Mrs. Sorrentino (10.0)
We have never camped as a family and we had a brilliant time! I was very apprehensive before hand but Anna's welcome phone call the week before was so reassuring!
Mrs. Hobday (10.0)
We all had a wonderful time. So lovely to see the kids truly being 'free range children' and they loved being able to walk to the honesty shop, foraging for wood, and collecting eggs on their own safely. Thank you so much to Will, Anna and everyone else on the farm for making our time so enjoyable. They hit the perfect balance between being excellent hosts but not intrusive. Lovely to be on a proper working farm. Thanks too to Luke for an extremely enjoyable and informative buggy tour of the farm - and for accommodating our timing! And finally, really comfy beds and bedding - even sleeping (as an adult) in the top bunk!
Mrs. Laud (10.0)
It was a fab 5 days with lovely weather and lovely friends in gorgeous surroundings.
Mrs. Poulter (8.8)
Loved our 2 tents being the only ones in our field, chickens under our feet as we ate, thrill of egg-finding, beneficial experience of all-age interaction i.e. Teenagers especially happy to carry out tasks involving fetching and carrying with wheelbarrows, cleaning out ashes and general chores ! Anna and Will especially good hosts, immaculately stylishly attired as confident, country-dwelling professionals, obviously knowing their business from top to toe creating a friendly, relaxed ambiance in their beautiful farm setting. Obviously really interested in their project and anxious that we got the most from our farm-stay experience.
Mrs. Tebbs (10.0)
A perfect holiday for extended family to get together. The holiday was everything it 'said on the tin' and more.
Mrs. Worsley (10.0)
Really fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Manor Farm, Anna and Will were very welcoming. Brilliant farm tour by Luke and Will. Can't wait to stay again. It is very relaxing and really good fun for little ones, who can enjoy the whole farm experience, as well as the camping experience of building camp fires and toasting marshmallows!! We have decided the Feather Down Farms will be our first choice of holiday each year.
Mrs. Hayles (10.0)
Great British holiday, with perfect weather, a week in the countryside with chickens to keep us company.
Mevr. Walmsley (8.8)
We had an absolutely amazing time, we hired the whole area out for our wedding blessing and it was just how we wanted it! Will and Anna and the team made us very welcome and eager to help. Everyone who came wanted to stay they were very impressed!! The tents are amazing and reminded my mum of safari in Africa!! We would love to stay again!
Miss Fisher (10.0)
We had a wonderful holiday and it exceeded our expectations. Anna & Will were very accommodating and friendly and the facilities were excellent. Our toddler had a great time jumping in puddles and enjoying everything the farm had to offer and we would definitely book again.
Mrs. Holdaway (10.0)
We had a wonderful stay, our young children enjoyed every minute of our time on Manor Farm. We just didn't see them as they charged around feeding chickens and lambs and taking scraps to the pigs. We were incredibly lucky with the weather and they enjoyed 'bathing' in the hot tub. The farm tour on the trailer was also a highlight. We had an wonderfully relaxing time and being so close to London it was so easy to get there and back. A great place for a short break! We would highly recommend it.
Mrs. Mackay (10.0)
We had a lovely stay at Manor Farm. Anna and Will couldn't have been more welcoming and the accommodation was charming. We will definitely be back again next year!
Mrs. Fitzhugh (10.0)
Mrs. Turner (10.0)
Yes, staying on a farm was a very enjoyable experience. The children loved seeing the animals and the tent was great - the beds were really comfortable!
Mrs. Goodall (8.8)
Overall it was a good holiday (spoiled a little by the FREEZING cold weather, but that's always a hazard in May!) but there were a few things that we were disappointed by:_x000D_ - our 'with frills' tent was pretty close to our neighbours who were frequently playing right in front of our tent, even when we were using the hot tub. Not quite the rural idyll we had expected (and spent the best part of £800 on) _x000D_ - there was a lot of noise well into the night. Again, the next door neighbours were right outside our tent playing and shouting loudly after 9:30 at night which was disturbing our sleeping children.
Mrs. Knight (7.5)
Mrs. Kavanagh (8.8)
Had a fabulous weekend! Thoroughly enjoyed the new frills tents and the location of our 3 tents was perfect for our party and our noisy teenagers! Still plenty to amaze and occupy younger children, teenagers and adults alike!
Ms. Lawlor (10.0)
We had a really lovely stay and Will and Anna could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The farm tour was brilliant and very informative. It was lovely to be given a tour just as a family and the children loved feeding the sheep.
Mrs. Fitzgerald (10.0)
yes we loved our stay - even though the weather was a little stormy. The Brock Family were great hosts and made sure we had everything we needed
Mr. Colquhoun (8.8)
We had a fab time - everything was great, from the comfy beds to the friendly welcome. The weather wasn't great but it didn't really matter and Anna had some excellent suggestions on what we could do to keep our little boy entertained.
Miss Murray (10.0)
REALLY FANTASTIC 5 DAYS OF LIVING IN THE OUTDOORS AND ENJOYING MANOR FARM AND SURROUNDING AREA!
Miss Drake (10.0)
We had a wonderful time, truly special with so many memories made, our just turned 2 year old named it 'The happy, happy big happy farm' and didn't stop smiling the whole time we were there, even in his sleep!! Will and Anna couldn't have been more friendly and helpful, and Lucy made the farm tour fun and interesting, we will never forget this holiday and are already planning our return next year.
Ms. Fuller (10.0)
This has been the highlight of a tour around the UK. We got to the farm and immediately felt welcome and relaxed. We loved getting back to basics, making lots of fires, evenings by candlelight, soaking in the hot tub and our two small boys adored sleeping in the cupboard! It was an amazing experience for all of us, farming, lots of fresh air and just keeping it simple for a few days. Definitely going to repeat the featherdown experience. Anna and Will were lovely, brilliant and very attentive.
Mrs. Jones (10.0)
We had a lovely stay - the farm tour was a particular highlight for us all - big and small
Mrs. Marchant (8.8)
Absolutely! …. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome and relaxed and it took us no time at all to slower the pace and slot right into camp fires, log burners, thick wooly socks and soaks in the Hot Tub. Feeding the Pigs and collecting Eggs from the Chickens were a daily highlight for our son, along with the wonderful trip out to the fields to experience Lambing. _x000D_ _x000D_ A truly fantastic Easter weekend and a great place for some quality family time together. Our 3 year old son still talks of his Cupboard bed now.
Mr. Titheridge (10.0)
Yes the stay was very pleasant.
Mrs. Lincoln (7.5)
Absolutely fantastic! We loved every minute of it and we're well looked after. We are already talking about when to return!
Mr. Hall (10.0)
We had a wonderful time. The freedom to roam for the children, chasing chickens and the slower pace of life for the adults. The with frills option were a treat with running water and a toilet on-site plus the jacuzzi just made our stay extra special. Plus it's not every day you can assist in the birth of a baby lamb. Overall we had a excellent holiday.
Mrs. Conway (10.0)
We had a wonderful time at feather down. _x000D_ Even with a lot of rain…_x000D_ The little lambs compensate it all!
Mrs. Wolfheimer (8.8)
Yes, it was absolutely fantastic!
Mrs. Blevin (10.0)
Yes, a lovely stay. Anna and will were excellent hosts.. Thank you
Mrs. Baccanello (10.0)
We had a fantastic stay at Manor Farm despite some wet and windy weather. _x000D_ _x000D_ For late October the weather was mild and sitting under the canopy at the front of the tent watching an incredible thunder storm was unforgettable._x000D_ _x000D_ The children loved the animals and already miss Alfie, the sheep, the chickens and the pigs! They really enjoyed the farm tour also._x000D_ _x000D_ The tent was as usual, excellent and for the first time we went 'frills' which we highly recommend. Little extra touches go a long way._x000D_ _x000D_ We were also blessed by fantastic company on the farm and lots of children who all mixed like they had been friends for years._x000D_ _x000D_ Thank you Tim and Anna for your hospitality and a wonderful stay at our beautiful farm._x000D_ _x000D_ The Douglas family, 21st-25th October 2014
Mrs. Bosher (10.0)
Fantastic break, great location and thoroughly enjoyable
Mr. Taylor (10.0)
Even though the weather was dire, our stay was huge fun! The kids really enjoyed the hot tub and spent hours in it each day despite the rain. The farm tour was very interesting, pitched just right and a good length. The honesty shop was stocked full of just the right sort of things and the library was very handy for the rainy afternoons. _x000D_ The food boxes that you can order were excellent and very generous._x000D_ Lots of attention to detail and exemplary hosting from Anna, Will and Lucy meant that our stay was smooth and enjoyable._x000D_ We will definitely be going back!
Mrs. Streater (10.0)
Very pleasant stay, very snug in our tent even when it was raining.
Mrs. Eveson (8.8)
What a fabulous weekend! Glamping (with frills!) exceeded our expectations in every way. Highlights were the fabulous farm tour and the hot tub. Despite an early end to the weekend due to the non-stop torrential rain, we absolutely loved it.
Mrs. Milligan (10.0)
WOW, What an amazing weekend break, Anna & Will have thought of everything you could possibly need and are so attentive and on-hand for help and advice. We had a fabulous break, the children loved it and so did the adults - it was a very memorable holiday and I will be booking again. Fresh air, beautiful views, lots to do or you can just chillax, safe for the children to run around with the animals, very well stocked honesty shop, great walks and we loved the farm tour - very informative, Lucy was so knowledgeable. Fresh bread and croissants – yummy!! , the hot tub & outside shower were exhilarating._x000D_ I've never camped as I like my creature comforts too much so I have never fancied it, but I am now hooked on "Feather Down Glamping"
Mrs. Hammond (10.0)
My husband and I had a an amazing weekend, sharing the glamping experience with our two nieces. It was a special couple of days staying at Manor Farm, it actually couldn't have been better. Anna and Will were so welcoming and helpful. We loved our beautiful tent and the outlook across the crops to the surrounding countryside. The days flew by with so many activities for the girls to get involved in, with Lucy's farm tour definitely being the highlight. Despite our stay being at the end of September, the weather was kind and the nights warm. We would definitely come back again!
Mrs. Thorpe (10.0)
Yes, we had a lovely stay. Of the three farms we have stayed on this was the best. Anna and will were excellent, so friendly and helpful who always made time for a chat. The privacy of the tents was great with the views a great bonus. We loved it and will be back.
Mrs. Clapperton (10.0)
We had a wonderful time. All sorts of weather in one weekend but, when it was wet, we snuggled inside in the warm and dry and, when it the sun came out, we enjoyed the fresh air. The children were outside the whole time! They loved the tour of the farm, marshmallows on the camp fire and sleeping in the cupboard! We all loved the hot tub.
Mrs. Ewing (10.0)

Mr. Henders (10.0)
yes it was absolutely amazing. Anna and Will were super nice and very welcoming and checking on us if we had everything regularly. The tents were super cozy and the location within the farm meant we felt integrated, we were right opposite sheep which was great for the kids. It was one of the best weekends we ever had away in the UK. The kids loved it, we loved it and we will definitely be back.

Mrs. Wright (10.0)
Firstly a big thanks to Will, Anna and Lucy who were very attentive hosts whose personal touch made the whole experience a very happy and memorable one. We have gone from camping to clamping and we loved every minute! Did it as a trial in the UK to see how it works... now planning the trip to Featherdown in Europe.
Mrs. Stubbs (10.0)
Manor Farm was incredible...we had a group of 13 adults plus one toddler and one baby and we had such a beautiful experience. I know I will certainly be returning be it at Manor Farm again or another farm. We had 3 tents in total plus two with hot tubs which was a big highlight. Anna was a super host and Will's farm tour was great. We really enjoyed all the added extras from bbqs, to making stews on the camp fire and my personal favourite was smoking the trout...what a treat:)Next time I think I would stay for one week rather than just the extended weekend so soak in more of the slower pace life. Thank you for such a beautiful experience I will remember forever.
Miss Man (10.0)
Yes it was really good. We appreciated your personal visits.
Mrs. Wood (10.0)
Very good stay
Mrs. Gyles (10.0)
We all had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Mrs. Crossley (8.8)
We very much enjoyed our stay (four mums and 11 children!) at Manor Farm. The tents were well set up and we enjoyed the hot tubs and the farm. We wish all the tents had a sofa though! The views across the fields were beautiful. We did a long walk from the farm with very good instructions and a long bike ride too (with 7 children) it was fantastic. We would thoroughly recommend this Featherdown Farm its within very easy reach from London.
Mrs. Weldon (8.8)
We came to Manor Farm as a treat for our twins 4th birthday. It was amazing - a really wonderful experience. So relaxing; such fun; and a real experience. The scenary was gorgeous, the accommodation comfortable, clean and practical. The assistance offered by Anna and Will was great - they made us feel really welcome. I would do it again in a heartbeat - despite mixed weather, it was a huge success and I am a convert to Featherdown Farms.

Mrs. Fleetwood (10.0)
It was absolutely awesome!
Mrs. Burke (10.0)
We had a fabulous time it was great fun.
Ms. Hunt (10.0)
We had an amazing weekend. An instant step into a relaxed way of life where the greatest worry is whether there is enough wood on the fire for our next cup of coffee. Every thing from the children having the freedom to go off on their bikes, to a wood fuelled jacuzzi and shower, to sitting around the bonfire eating marshmallows on sticks. A superb weekend made even better by glorious weather. We must try the bread making next time.
Mrs BAILEY (10.0)
The midweek break exceeded our expectations! Our stay was comfortable and filled with fun. Our 4 year old daughter loved the farm life.
Mr. Van Zyl (10.0)
Yes, very much so._x000D_ The kids all had a great time which allowed us all to enjoy ourselves a little more._x000D_ There was a very relaxed and informal set up but that said, very little had been overlooked.
Mr. Sheffield (8.8)
Good facilities and incredibly friendly hosts made what would have been a weather washout a passable holiday for our children. Camping in the UK in May is an adventure - even 'with frills' its still a frilly tent and its still camping._x000D_ _x000D_ I portable gas stove will make a big difference if you like hot tea first thing. And if you don't want to be a slave to the stove.
Mr. Treagus (7.5)
Lovely - loved the tent and the fire stove! Big plus having the farm on our door step.
Miss Hoskin (8.8)
Yes we did. The tent surpassed our expectations. Its really quite comfortable and is completely kitted out with everything one might need. We will definitely be back again, just in more summer months as at night May was a little too cold!
Mrs. Tufari (8.8)
Manor Farm with Frills was a super break away - the hot tubs were a real hit with the children plus the farm tour, feeding lambs and pigs and driving round on the back of Wills 4x4 being chased by sheep!!! Highly recommended and so close to London we were home in no time despite the bank holiday traffic!
Ms. Shackcloth (10.0)
Anna and Will went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The farm has beautiful views and is located within walking distance of some great pubs packed with games for rainy days and great grub. The kids loved the farm tour and the freedom of popping to the honesty shop and we all loved the hot tub! A great weekend was had by all and we will return.
Mrs. Meehan (10.0)
We stayed at Manor Farm in April 2013 (our 2nd Featherdown experience)and we had an absolutely brilliant time! It was very cold and wet at times, but... we were well prepared, extra blankets, hot water bottles and even onesies! (Nobody complained about the cold.) The girls loved the farm, feeding the animals, collecting fire wood, slurping hot chocolate and snuggling down for a comfortable and peaceful night's sleep. We were made to feel so welcome and will be back in the Easter holidays next year, we simply loved it! Top tips - flip flops for the showers, which were excellent by the way and packing a Thermos pump flask for a steaming hot cuppa in the morning whilst you get the wood burning stove fired up, was well worth it. All that's left to say is . . .Will, Anna and Sam - thankyou. We'll see you next April!
Mrs. Wood (10.0)
We had a great stay despite the bitterly cold weather. The kids loved it and at least one of them now either wants to be Lucy and if not that then a farmer... and this from city kids who ran screaming from a chicken on our first day! The hot tub was a great bonus and very much enjoyed. There were some fabulous walks and the baby animals were adorable. In addition my husband discovered his inner boy scout - which at least amused his wife!
Mrs. Johnston (10.0)
Fantastic time was had by all despite tnightime temparatures of -2!!
Mrs. Light (10.0)
Yes, very pleasant stay. The children (age 2 & 7) absolutely loved every minute. Our hosts were always on hand to help and the setting is perfect. Would highly recommend and imagine that this will be a regular thing for us now (although I would try and stay in warmer weather!)
Mrs. Butterfield (10.0)
Will, Anna and Lucy made us feel very welcome. The weather was very cold, freezing over night and snow during the day but their cheeriness kept us going. We will certainly be back, hopefully in better weather!

We had a fantastic time. Anna and Will were excellent hosts, very welcoming and helpful without being intrusive in any way. The children loved all the animals and space. Mrs. Rodger (10.0)
Mrs. Colgrave (10.0)
We had a very enjoyable stay in the idyllic surroundings of Manor Farm on the hottest weekend of the year in 2012! Our kids really enjoyed the freedom to roam around the farm in a safe environment and especially the ability to collect eggs from the chickens and the honesty shop

Mrs. Budd (8.8)
This was our second stay at Manor Farm and can honestly say it was just as good as the first...Anna and Will are THE Best Hosts ever and really make you feel so welcome. A special mention to Lucy as well who is so patient with all the Children and is an absolute Star. We will definitely be coming back .. THANK YOU
Mrs. Sharp (10.0)
Very pleasant! Manor Farm and the hosts, Will & Anna create a relaxing & welcoming ambience with effortless ease that adds enormously to the whole experience. Thank you for everything and to Lucy who welcomed us on day 1.
Mrs. Crocker (10.0)
We had a really enjoyable time, our 4 1/2 yr son was in his element, the downside was the tent had a couple of holes in and the first day it did cause a little issue, we had to use a large bowl to catch the water. Having put all this aside, we have rebooked for this coming year, hoping to get the same tent. The food was fantastic, the hosts were simply amazing, checked everything was ok each morning but were not in the way. We built a bonfire from the branches in the bottom field, used the hot tub. My son is now running around the room collecting things for our next trip to Manor farm in 6 months time.
Mr. Herrick (10.0)
We had the most fantastic stay at Manor Farm. We were lucky enough to have booked the hottest week of 2012 and we even had the farm to ourselves. Our children age 3, 3 and 4 had the best time splashing in the hot tub in the hot weather and chasing the chickens - they were so disappointed when we came home. The bit i enjoyed most was sitting round the campfire until the early hours of the morning with a blanket and a bottle of red staring up at the night sky and watching out for satellites passing by. We even saw a shooting star. Will and Anna our hosts were lovely and the facilities were very good. Our stay here has been one of the best holidays i have ever had, i smile when i think about our stay at Manor Farm and have just booked our next adventure to stay Billingsmoor farm in the summer. Feather Down definitely has a touch of the Darling Buds of May about it and i am so happy to be able to offer my children a slice of something so special.
Mr. Fletcher (10.0)
Absolutely wonderful stay. Could not fault anything. We all had a wonderful time. Our 2 year old absolutely loved it especially the cupboard bed !!
