Boswarthen is a dairy farm of 125 cows spread over 550 acres, that lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and offers sea views from its tents. There are beautiful beaches nearby where families can surf, swim and walk to their heart’s content. The area even has its own micro-climate, making it ideal for a UK beach holiday. Thanks to the climate, there are palm trees dotted around, plus calm beaches in the north when the south’s are windy, and vice versa.
Cornwall’s famed seafood, cream teas and, of course, pasties will give you energy to burn! Lovers of coastal walks will be spoilt for choice in this region. Alternatively, stay put and you may be lucky enough to witness a calf being born. Calving here happens mostly from July onwards, and milking takes place twice a day. Boswarthen also keeps Exmoor ponies and Shetlands, and on campfire nights, the children are in for the thrill of a ride on the farm buggy to see them. Your dog can be accommodated and join you on your holiday (up to a limited number per weekend/midweek/week).
Every care has been taken to ensure that guests have an enjoyable and stress-free stay, from checklists, to late-arrival meals and full Farm Larder run-down. So, when a guest said the experience was “off the charts it was so good,” Maddy and Adrian felt appreciated. Indulge in Maddy’s delicious dinners and homemade fare, including, around the campfire, Cornish lasagna that another guest said should be in the Good Food guide! The tender beef from the honesty shop is also a perennial favourite with guests.
You’ll be drawn to nearby towns like St Ives for the wonderful light, like many famous artists before you. The Eden Project and Minack Theatre are practically on the doorstep too. You can also visit the National Trust’s Trengwainton Gardens, Glendurgan and the Lost Gardens Of Heligan. Then there are the charming working fishing villages, the nearby tin mines at Levant and Geevor and a host of ancient heritage sites.

Ms Bargery (10.0)
Geweldige locatie en erg hartelijke eigenaren. Onze kinderen hebben erg genoten.
Mevr. Jumelet (10.0)
Our hosts couldn't have done more to make our stay better. So genuine and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Such a shame the tent itself was past its prime, generally looking quite tired and in need of a refresh, lots of noticeable noise from the canvas flapping in the wind at night etc.
Dr Jeganathan (10.0)
This is our 4th Featherdown holiday and this location is one of the first that opened. The hosts were fantastic, it is a larger site with a mix of Featherdown and farmer's own glamping tents on a working farm. The tours around the farm were great and the area is convenient for exploring west Cornwall. The exposed location and the age of the tents meant the wood burner was reaching the end of its life and rather rusty but still worked, just not pretty. The showers were at a distance from the tents and could have done with a bench outside so you could sit and dry your/your children's feet before putting wellies back on. We missed the pizza night as this only happens on a Saturday at this farm, which was a shame. Maddy did offer a communal meal on a Wednesday evening but this would have cost over £30 for my family so we chose not to. The sandpits provided for the children on each field were a nice idea, but unfortunately became a hub for children to congregate outside our tent rather than in a neutral position elsewhere which was annoying after 9pm. Overall Featherdown offers our family an experience of camping that we can all agree on and the comments are only minor niggles.
Mrs. Brightman (7.5)
The perfect Cornish escape!
Mr Wilsher (10.0)
An amazing break in Cornwall. Kids loved it - camp fire's, pizza's hot out the pizza oven, feeding lamb's, cosy tent and amazingly warm duvets and comfortable beds! Our hosts Maddy & Adrian were amazing and are so hard working to make this a memorable family holiday. Set in beautiful Cornwall with views over the sea and you can even see St Michael's Mount in the distance. #onetoremember. Thank you Featherdown. x
Mrs Welch (10.0)
All the nice bits of camping without (many of) the horrid ones...
The children had great fun collecting eggs and the beds were surprisingly comfy. It was a brilliant family experience. I thoroughly enjoyed cooking by candlelight and Maddie's farm tour was really interesting. We will come back I'm sure!
Mrs. Chatt (8.8)
Great fun, relaxing, a good opportunity to slow right down. Maddy and Adrien are great hosts.
Ms. Johnson (10)
Mrs. Whitaker (8.8)
Our farm experience was truly magical, brought to life by the fantastic hospitality from Madeline and Adrian. We have taken away special memories we will hold dear for years to come and cant wait to visit again.
Mrs. Andrews (10)
We had a really enjoyable and relaxing week at Boswarthen Farm
Mrs. Hughes (10)
Very comfortable! Maddie was a great hostess, very helpful and friendly, and cooks a fab breakfast :-)
Ms. Harrison (10)
Maddy and Adrian were perfect hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they are both so friendly and helpful. Their food was terrific and Maddy even went to the trouble of making me a gluten free pizza which I really appreciated. They were very knowledgeable of the area and gave us lots of advice about places to visit. Maddy dropped by the tent each day to see if we needed anything. Our toilet broke on the first day and Adrian had it mended within minutes, replacing the faulty bit of piping.I would like to make a comment to Featherdown directly though - I do feel that if booking an extended holiday (we booked 10 days) there should be a slight discount, after all there is no changeover/cleaning required after the first week and we get no extra candles etc than if we were staying for just the week. Maddy offered us clean linen at the end of the first week which I declined because I was happy to keep ours but a discount would be appreciated. Also, a recycling bin in the tent would be handy so it doesn't scatter all over the floor before we take it to the main farm recycling bins.
Mrs. Nicholas (10)

Fam. Paauw (7.5)
A very relaxing holiday, set in beautiful surroundings were Maddie and Adrian went above and beyond to make our stay amazing, would definitely return & recommend.
Miss Mcfadyen (10.0)
Glamping great for kids but not really for us
Mrs. Baldwin (7.5)
We had a great holiday and found the farm and tent exceeded our expectations. Our 4 year old absolutely loved the freedom to run around and play with other children. I thought there was a nice balance between being sociable with other holiday goers and still having plenty of privacy. The tent was spacious and comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were friendly and generous with their time and we felt very welcome. The only things I would have changed would be that I'd have preferred the shower block to be single sex as showering yourself and children and keeping things dry was tricky in the cubicles and I'd have liked the double bed to be a double mattress with a double duvet rather than two singles but they were only minor things.
Ms. Hughes (10)
we had the best time ever!! Nothing was to much trouble and the hosts are so welcoming. We didn't want to leave.
Mr. Fenn (10)
Peaceful. Fantastic tent. Best way to camp.Still outside but with lots of comfort. Lovely farm and Maddy and Adrian could not have made us more welcome and always on hand if we had any queries. Lovely to have honesty shop and so convenient.

Lovely place and courteous hosts. We only had two nights. We should have stayed for at least 4.The kids enjoyed it.The major detraction was the long distance that you have to barrow luggage from car park to tent. It could be made easier. Maybe they could use one of their vehicles to take luggage up and down at beginning and end of stay?

Comfortable tent, friendly chickens, brilliant location, wonderful views, warm and welcoming proprieters. Really glad we chose Boswarthen for our holiday. Only wish we could have stayed longer.
Miss Hemmings (8.8)
Great family experience.
Mrs. Latham (10.0)
Relaxing, calming, chilled environment. Away from hustle & bustle of the ordinary, busy life. A breath of fresh air (literally:) for anyone tired of city and in need of rural retreat.
Mrs Serafin-Wynne (10.0)
Fantastic! Maddy was really welcoming and friendly throughout our stay.
Miss Bracey (10.0)
This is our third Featherdown Farm stay. Maddy and Adrian could not have been more welcoming. Maddy is a great host and Adrian's farm tour with Matt the vet was brilliant. Boswarthen farm is brilliantly located with loads to do.
Mr. Craggs (8.8)
Fun and relaxing. Cold 1 evening.
Mrs. Mongodin (8.8)

Mr. Fance (10.0)
A lovely relaxing break at a super location to visit Cornwall.
Ms. Harrington (10.0)
We had a fantastic time at Bowarthen Farm! Great location and Maddy & Adrian made us feel so welcome!
Mrs. Mullarkey (10.0)
Visited Boswarthwen Farm with 3 year old son...he LOVED the animals, in particular our own private chickens (now named Amber and Ginger)...great glamping compromise of "roughing it" without feeling rough
Mr. Thomas (8.8)
There is not a better way to escape modern life and embrace simplicity with the least amount of hassle. Maddy was very welcoming and assured our stay was the best it could be. Cooking on the wood burning stove was easier than expected and spending evenings in candlelight was more enjoyable than it sounds. Days without electricity, 24 hour news, or the internet was bliss and I will miss putting on the welly boots every morning and walking across the field for a nice hot shower.
Mr. Barnfield (10.0)
Exceeded expectations! As a first time camper/glamper I could not have asked for better both for the tent and the hosts!
Mrs. Greenhalgh (10.0)
The most wonderful hoilday and will be returning. Maddie and Andrian made us so welcome.
Mrs. Duddleston (10.0)
What an amazing time. waking up each morning to a view of St Michael's mount, watching a calf being born and gator rides for the children had to be the highlights. Maddie and Adrian are fantastic host and the country side and beaches are breathtaking. We will most definitely be back next year!
Mrs. Mayrs (10.0)
We had such an incredible experiencing thanks to Maddie & her family. They were very friendly and welcoming and wanted to involve the children in whatever was happening on the farm (whether it was meeting a new calf or the new puppy!). They cooked us all lasagna and then took the children to see the ponies on the back on of a trailer which of course the children absolutely loved. The tent was immaculate and the surrounds were idyllic. It was a safe place for the children and a wonderful time was had by all. We have been recommending to absolutely everyone as we had such a great time.
Mrs. Russell (10.0)
We had an excellent holiday at Boswarthen Farm. The tents were equipped with much more than we expected and Adrian and Madeleine were just so very friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will definitely be returning.
Miss Thomas (10.0)
Question doesn't make sense. How did I experience my holiday??
Mrs. Wood (7.5)
I wasn't sure what to expect, no electric and just the basics but absolutely loved the whole experience . I recommend it to anyone . A huge thank you to madieline , adrian and family you have a beautiful home, keep doin what you are doin it really works, don't change a thing, and we wish you all the best in the future and look forward to seeing you all again xx
Miss Cook (10.0)
Great break. The location and farm were ideal. The hosts were warm and welcoming and extended the farm experience to the kids including watching a cow birth, feeding the calves, playing with sheep and endless running wild. The hosts organised great central activities including bonfire, lasagne evening and tractor rides. Excellent location, excellent facilities and great experience.
Miss Meek (10.0)
Beautiful setting, with coastal view in the distance. Adrian and Maddy couldn't have been nicer, more hospitable or gone out their way anymore than they did. Brilliant meals prepared for the tent, and great social evenings. It was also a lovely learning experience being on a working dairy farm - the farm tours, milking times & birth of new calves were great experiences for all the family. And keeping our own chickens was thoroughly enjoyed by our children. _x000D_ Only criticism would be the shower block- rather small and tricky when taking a family to shower. Not enough room to hang clothes & towels and keep everything dry.
Mrs. Aitken (10.0)
We had a brilliant time, in a beautiful location, with the friendliest and most helpful farm family imaginable.
Mrs. Holder (10.0)
We have just returned from our second trip to Boswarthen Farm. As a family we love the featherdown farm concept and have stayed at other farms in the UK, France and Germany but we have to say that Boswarthen is our favourite not is he surrounding area so beautiful but the farmers Madeleine and Adrian are perfect hosts and really everyone so welcome. Pizza and lasagne nights are great as Madeleine is a fab cook and they give everyone a chance to get together if they wish and the kids love the gator rides. Thank you we will be back again.
Mrs. Wilson (10.0)
Mrs. Beaver (8.8)
We absolutely loved our time on the farm and the hospitality from Maddy, Adrian and their boys is something we will always remember with great fondness!
Mrs. Wright (10.0)
An excellent holiday! Maddy and Adrian were fantastic hosts underpinning a fabulous experience. The clay pigeon shooting was a great gesture where they gave freely of their time and attention at no extra cost! The farm is beautifully poised offering a feeling of calm with a beautiful view as well as affording accessibility to many attractions and good beaches. We would highly recommend this farm.
Ms. Treagus (10.0)
We had an amazing time. It's a fantastic area for a holiday with lots of places within easy reach. As for our hosts maddie and Adrian we can honestly say we don't know how they do it! From a friendly morning chat to a home cooked meal for 40, they literally made us feel part of the family. We cannot recommend this farm enough and we'll be returning next year, possibly with more friends and family in tow! Thank you so much maddie, Adrian, Alex and all the animals for a wonderful holiday.
Mr. Folkard (10.0)
Maddy and Adrian were wonderful hosts, warm and welcoming. They go to every effort to make your holiday special. We enjoyed seeing the farm, understanding more about the challenges and ups and downs of dairy farming and enjoying the beautiful countryside. Nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed in other featherdown farms and maddy and Adrian are the best hosts ever! ( not implying the others were poor either).
Ms. Wilcock (10.0)
Boswarthen Farm is a beautiful location ... we are all missing the wonderful view and space. The tents are few in number and spaced out over two fields, which allows privacy whilst still being close enough for children to play together if they wish. The surrounding area offers plenty to do whatever the weather & everyone we meet was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Mrs. Stuttard (10.0)
We love Featherdown! Quite possibly the best ever place we have stayed as a family! Maddy and Adrian were fantastic hosts and made us all feel so welcome. We are definitely coming back!
Mr. Micallef (10.0)
We had a wonderful time and in large part due to exceptionally sunny weather.
Mr. O'donoghue (8.8)
our host farmers really made our stay extra special, they were so welcoming to us and the children. giving up their time, to feed the animals see calfs being born, answer any questions or just a chat. the farm and area around was very picturesque with great beaches and family days out.
Mrs. Chettleborough (10.0)
Madelaine and Adrian did everything possible to make us all feel very welcome; we could not have asked for warmer hosts. The location is fantastic, amazingly close to everywhere we wanted to go during the week. In fact I don't think we were ever in the car for more than half an hour, no matter where we wanted to visit. The farm was great and the children were delighted to watch a calf being born, feeding the animals and of course their 'gator' ride.
Mr. Barr (10.0)
Hi Adrian & Madelien, we had a great stay at your farm._x000D_ The tent was really cosy and comfortable. The kids especially liked their own chiken run, the two lambs that walked around, the cows in front of the tent, the big campfire and the tractor drive. thanks a lot! One important point to improve are the bunkbed ladders. ours was not adjusted to the bed and while climbing in or out it slips away and ladder and climber felt to the ground.
Mevr. De Smet (8.8)
We had a fantastic time; blessed by the weather, complimented by the warm and sunny welcome
Mr. Woolley (10.0)
Maddi and Adrian were the most excellent hosts. Their Pizza night and lasagne nights were fantastic! My little boy thoroughly enjoyed feeding the two greedy lambs, Chops and Minty and letting them out of their pen each day. We went home with some great memories ( and photos! )
Mr. Touman (10.0)
Boswarthen Farm is a dream come true. We voelden ons ontzettend welkom, de ligging is fantastisch en alles klopt gewoon. We hadden supergoed weer en een geweldige tijd!
Dhr. Gooren (10.0)
This part of majestic Cornwall is beautiful with sea views and glorious green pastures. Maddy, Adrian and their sons were the best hosts you could have and were always eager to help and ensure that we had everything we could want._x000D_ I went with my 9 year old and my best friend and her 9 year old and we loved every minute of it!_x000D_ The kids had a great time with all the other kids on site, were encouraged by our hosts and welcomed to watch feeding of the sheep and cows and even had a tractor ride. The kids adored the chickens that we had for the week and loved making scrambled eggs and French toast with their eggs (yum!) as well as taking great care of them. _x000D_ We single mums had a relaxing wonderful time too, happy that our children were happy and chilled out just experiencing this wonderful and beautiful environment. I would highly recommend.
Ms. Perryman (10.0)
We had a lot of fun on the farm. The children were sad that we had to leave again after a long weekend with great weather, good pizza's, camp fires, relaxing bbq's and nice surroundings._x000D_ Lovely contact with Maddy and all her boys! No additional charges for the unplanned sheep hire :-)
Dhr. Van Bokhoven (8.8)
It was a great holiday, we all enjoyed it very much. Only (slight) downside was that we were camping in the middle of a group of friends. slightly more judicious planning could have put them all together and given us a bit of space too. We felt like we were crashing their party and in a way, we were!
Mrs. Donahue (10.0)
Madeleine and Adrian are the best host you can wish during you're holiday. They give you a warm welcome and also during our stay there hospitality was great. Our first Experience with fearherdown was fantastic. Cornwall is a beautifull area. We went to the beach and saw dolphins. There are a lot of nice_x000D_ Villages to visit. We also did some cycling and walking, the nature is great. We certainly come back.
Mrs. Van Der Schoot (10.0)
It was lots of fun with enough to do on the actual farm, something I felt was a little lacking from my previous visit to another Featherdown location.
Mr. Harley (10.0)
Absolutely fantastic, amazing value
Ms. Taylor (10.0)
top class- mainly due to the ceaseless personal attention given at all times by lovely hosts
Mr. Moorcroft (10.0)
We had a great time. Lovely spot.
Mrs. Paterson (10.0)
Our fifth year at Boswathen Farm. Another excellent time was had by all! Maddy and Adrian went right out of their way to ensure that our stay was better than ever. _x000D_ _x000D_ Superb location, superbly run farm, you really do feel you are on a working farm which is what we love. _x000D_ _x000D_ Thanks Maddy & Adrian, you both work so hard and deserve a huge amount of praise for making your little patch of Cornwall such a special place to visit. Only a year until we are back again.
Mr. Stanley (10.0)
We had a fantastic time at Boswarthen. Maddy and Adrian looked after us very well; the children loved being on the farm and the tent was perfect. Definitely a much more civilised way to go camping!
Mr. Ward (10.0)
Excellent all round! Adrian and Madeliene are very helpful and full of information about their farm and the surrounding area. Anything you are not sure of just ask them.
Mrs. Malvezi (10.0)
Boswarthen Farm was amazing. The farmers (Madeleine and Adrian) were very welcoming and so informative about the farm. It is our 2nd stay at a Feather Down (we went to Aller Farm last Sept), so knew what to expect. We were not disappointed. The extra journey time to Cornwall was worth it, and we would go back in a heart beat. Stunning location and wonderful farm.
Mrs. Holland (10.0)
It was quite simply the best family holiday we've had.
Mrs. Davies-Moore (10.0)
My partner and I loved our holiday at Boswarthen. The tent was lovely, had all we needed and the view was superb! The hosts Maddie and Adrian we're very nice and Maddie cooked a lovely Lasagne for us. We wouldn't think twice about returning!
Mr. White (10.0)
Great location and lovely to see a working dairy farm! The hosts were really warm and welcoming and the shop was well stocked.
Mrs. Rabie (10.0)
Really fantastic, Maddy, Adrian and their boys were wonderful.
Mrs. Basden (10.0)
Loved the tent and the setting. The promotional video does not promise anything it cannot offer. Fantastic hosts who understand to juggle the sometimes conflicting interests of farming and tourism perfectly. We will definitely book again a farm stay with feather down as my kids and my husband and I LOVED it.
Mrs. Koehler (10.0)
Yes, it was a great place to stay
Ms. Masters (10.0)
We had a fantastic stay despite the inclement weather, lots of great things to do locally, lots of good advice about where to go, good beaches etc. and to top it off a surprise birthday cake! Thanks for a super weekend,_x000D_ Matt and Helen Dellowe (and Gus & Elliot)
Mr. Dellowe (10.0)
Our stay was everything we imagined it to be. The kids had an amazing time carrying for the chickens and visiting the lambs each morning and evening. Our farmers Maddy and Adrian were more than accommodating and made sure that we had everything we could ask for and more.
Mrs. Tutt (10.0)
Very pleasant and very impatient to come back.
Dr. De Stempel (10.0)
the stay was wonderful!_x000D_ Madeliene really takes time to tell about the farm and things to do in Cornwall! _x000D_ The honesty shop is exactly what you need! we can highly recommend the home made curry and the boys loved the burgers and sausages!
Mrs. De Boer-Kegel (8.8)
Yes, we did! A wonderful holiday.
Mr. Fance (10.0)
Excellent hospitality. Madeleine was amazing! Very kind, helpful, and warm. The kids loved her and did not stop asking her questions. We had many different issues we needed help with and she was just wonderful! Her son was very kind and helpful as well. They made us feel very welcome. Thank you!
Mrs. Ben-Ari (7.5)
Yes._x000D_ Maddy was a very warm, and present host.
Mrs. Soete (7.5)
We had a fantastic stay on Boswarthen farm; great weather; friendly hosts; a supper night organised by Madeleine with other guests; a tractor tour of the farm; clean, hot, power showers; milking and calf feeding for the kids and our very own chickens! Thank you Adrian and Madeleine for making us so welcome.
Mrs. Nathan (10.0)
Excellent location, great hosts,
Mr. Lee (10.0)
Yes. Everything was perfect and everybody we met was extremely friendly and accomodating._x000D_ Thank you for one of the most relaxing and fun holiday's we have ever had.
Mr. Kirby (10.0)
We cannot recommend visiting Boswarthen Farm highly enough. The whole 'Featherdown setup' was very nice, with lovely tents and comfy beds and warm duvets and practical yet comfortable furniture and kitchen setup. However, what made the holiday exceptional was definitely the care and enthusiasm offered by Boswarthen's fantastic farmer hosts, Maddie and Adrian. Despite working 14+ hour days on the real business of the farm (the cows!), they manage to make time both to look after the practical needs of their Featherdown guests AND to provide cheerful and high-quality advice on what to do around Cornwall. They are also patient and enthusiastic 'farm educators', willing to answer endless questions about farm life, and to include visitors in exciting events such as calves being born, milking and feeding. Every day we saw both Adrian and Maddie morning and evening, and we knew they were available at the other end of a phone if we had any questions that came up at other times. _x000D_ _x000D_ There was a nice mix of 'included in the booking price' treats, and optional extras such as hot food and the hot tub. We loved the honesty shop, and appreciated the daily notices on the chalk board that announced things happening on and off the farm._x000D_ _x000D_ When we save enough, we'd love to book another family Featherdown _x000D_ holiday - one at a new place, and one at Boswarthen, where we have so many lovely memories!
Mrs. Gibson (7.5)
It was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the farm and the tent was amazing. Madeleine was so friendly and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to involve us and our two year old in as much of the farm as possible. It was everything we were expecting and more and we will definitely return to Boswarthan again. We were all sad to leave ! The best camping holiday we have ever had and we have camped and camped!!
Miss Fowler (10.0)
Yes. Madeline and Adrian were extreamley pleasant._x000D_ Despite their commitments to a busy farm nothing was too much trouble and their enthusiasm and kindness to our children was lovely.
Mrs. Mackey (10.0)
Yes.Maddy puts her heart and soul into this venture. It is this primarily that gives everything it's shine. Maddy second guesses every need and could not be a better host. Clone her !
Mr. Davies (10.0)
Yes, it was a wonderful holiday it couldn't have been a better experience. My daughter and I had never been camping before and I was apprehensive about how I would cope but by the end I was in charge of the fire and really didn't want to come home! The whole family at Boswarthen were incredibly friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them.
Mr. Kerslake (10.0)
We had a fabulous stay at Boswarthen Farm! Maddie and Adrian couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating-nothing was too much trouble-from showing our 2 year old daughter the calves that had been born in the early hours to bringing boiling water in a thermos flask to our tent for our 6 month olds milk. Maddie made the effort to check on us twice daily throughout our stay and was chatty and friendly. Being able to have a chickens to look after was great-and our daughter LOVED saying good morning and good night to them each day and the look on her face on discovering their eggs is a lasting lovely memory for us to treasure. We will be recommending Featherdown Farms to all of our friends!
Mrs. Jones (10.0)
We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the farm. Madeline and Adrian were very welcoming and accommodating and it was an all round great experience.
Mr. Fleming (10.0)
Yes Adrian and Madeleine were amazing hosts. They really made the experience a great one because of their great hospitality.
Mrs. Robinson (8.8)
Yes and no. I found the services really limited for the price I paid. For that price I shouldn't expect to pay extra for beds made or matches to light my fire. On the upside, my girls loved it but after it took us 90 minutes to cook breakfast on the 1st morning, we decided to dine out and simplify breakfast on the second day. Too bad, the concept is fun but you try so much to cash in on the extras that it leaves a bitter taste. It could be a lot nicer if I hadn't felt nickel-and-dimed for a lot of essentials (TP, fire starter, matches for instance).
Mrs. Latham (6.3)
Had a lovely stay, very warm welcome, very friendly and tent had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Our 2 yr old daughter had a fantastic time. We could visit the farm animals and watch them being fed. The honesty shop was well stocked. Showers were very clean, hot and powerful, I didn't want to get out of it. Would love to visit in the warmer weather to enjoy sitting out in the evenings.
Mr. Nicholas (8.8)
We had a wonderful relaxing holiday, a big thank you to Maddy and Adrian for making us feel very welcome.
Miss Gunn (10.0)
Yes it was fantastic.
Mrs. Champion (10.0)
As a family, we had the best time at Featherdown Farms. The children really enjoyed looking after the chickens and we all enjoyed the experience.
Mr. Wicking (10.0)
We had a lovely time, it was fun and relaxing a real break from the stresses of modern life. Maddie & Adrian & their family were exemplary hosts, nothing was too much trouble, yet if you wanted to be left alone that was fine too. Pizza & lasagne nights were great fun and a nice opportunity to socialise, if you wanted to. Thanks for a great and truly memorable holiday.
Mrs. Montero (10.0)
We had an amazing time for the 2nd year - this time we took friends, we were so confident in recommending it. Boswarthen Farm is in a fantastic position for visiting West Cornwall which has so much to do - beaches, walks, Scilly Isles day trips, Minack Theatre, St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Penzance Lido and so much more! Maddie, Adrian and their family are brilliant hosts, they are always around with plenty of information about the farm, the area or even just for a chat. The shop is well stocked with everything you could need. Our children loved looking after their chickens, collecting eggs and saw a calf being born both this year and last. They also enjoyed seeing the calves fed and watching the combine harvester when it came. We all loved the field spa and the lovely home cooking on the farm - huge quantities!! The new field of sunflowers as we drove in was gorgeous too. We love Boswarthen and all it has to offer!!!! Thank you
Miss Beer (10.0)
Yes, the family were very welcoming and helpful/friendly and went out of their way to help whenever possible.
Mrs. Pollock (8.8)
We had a wonderful time. Keeping chickens was a particular bit with our 3 year old and our 3 month old was very happy too.
Ms. Carey (10.0)
My children and I had a wonderful stay at Featherdown Boswarthen, Cornwall. It was a completely different experience for us and had the most amazing affect on my two young boys .... They breathed in clean air, they found and used their imaginations again, they took time to enjoy their surroundings and appreciate the countryside, they learned to care for an animal , they learned that patience is rewarded with the best and freshest prepared meals eaten outdoors. They made real friends not virtual ones! And whilst they rediscovered the childhood they should be having I rediscovered the joy of watching them and promised that I would take this learning home afterwards and that I would definitely return. Thank you very much to Adrian and Madeline for making our stay magical.
Ms. Walsh (10.0)
We had a fantastic stay. It was our first 'glamping' experience and we all loved it. Our hosts were lovely they couldn't do enough to help - from showing how to light the wood burner to recommending places to visit. The tent was great, very spacious for a tent but cosy. I would highly recommend a featherdown farm holiday to anyone!
Mrs. Williamson (10.0)
We had a fantastic stay. Maddy, Adrian and the boys went out of their way to make our stay truly memorable, and one we would love to repeat. The gaitor rides were a real hit!
Mrs Roberts (10.0)
There was a lovely warm welcome on arrival. Throughout the stay, Madeleine and Adrian ensured everything was as we expected, including the use of a fire guard around the wood stove due to our 2yr old.. There was a very well stocked shop with most things you may run out of. The site itself was a nice secure environment with no movement of cars in the main tent areas with sand pits for the kids. The space within the tents was good and the kids loved their own little spaces. _x000D_ _x000D_ Best of all the kids loved taking care of the chickens and having very fresh eggs in the mornings.
Mr. Bridgwood (10.0)
We had an excellent time at Boswarthen Farm.
Mr. Frost (8.8)
We had a lovely time, this second visit was equally as good as our first!
Mrs. Stevenson (10.0)
We had a wonder time at Boswarthen Farm. Madeleine, Adrian and Elliot were top notch hosts and made our stay even more memorable. Our kids were totally at home at the farm as they were able to just roam freely in a safe environment. We were also lucky enough to see not one but two calves being born. We would highly recommend Boswarthen to any family and we will be visiting again in the future. Thanks again for a great holiday in Cornwall.
Mr. Mainwaring (10.0)
Adrian and Maddy made us most welcome. A lovely family and a wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend this farm as a place to stay.
Mr. Scruton (10.0)
We all loved the farm and will be returning next summer
Mr. Lewis (10.0)
We had a fantastic holiday at Boswarthen Farm. Madeleine, Adrian, Elliot and Alex were great hosts and spent a generous amount of their time showing us their farm and teaching us about their herd - we were even lucky enough to meet two calves just an hour old (and only missed the opportunity to see them being born as we were already at the beach!). Their hospitality was beyond compare and we enjoyed wood-fire oven pizzas, lasagne and friendship basked in the evening sun and peaceful views over St Michael's Mount. Our children had the freedom to be kids, and loved the chickens, sandpit and the responsibility of going to the honesty shop to buy fresh bread, milk and even the odd icecream. And they LOVED the tractor rides round the farm!_x000D_ _x000D_ The safari tent was more spatious than we expected, the beds suprisingly comfy (we are used to slumming it on an airbed) and the children slept soundly in their own cubby hole with little hearts cut out of the doors to peep out of._x000D_ _x000D_ The farm position was great - perched on a hill just ten minutes' drive to Penzance and within easy reach of St Ives, Lands End, Mousehole and lots of lovely golden sanded beaches. On other days there were plenty of National Trust gardens to visit and we thoroughly recommend a trip to the Glendower tin mine._x000D_ _x000D_ Thank you!
Mr. Shearer (10.0)
we had an excellent stay
Mr. Liggins (10.0)
I went with another family and we had a wonderful time at Boswarthen Farm. It is a beautiful place with fantastic views and very glad to be under Featherdown canvas when it rained, which it did, this is England! It was a great place to be with a big group of teenagers who wanted to chill - long lie-ins in very comfy beds, long breakfasts, no rushing, excursions in the afternoon, the best hot showers in an ultra-clean shower block within an ancient stable, jolly suppers, washing up in candlelight and games altogether, No screens, hurray!
Mrs. Prizeman (10.0)

This was our first experience of a feather downs farm and was the best holiday.Maddy,Adrian and the boys made us feel welcomed from the second we arrived till the last day when we didn't won't to leave. The farm it self was great for out little girl molly(2yr4mon) playing with chickens seen a calf been milked and born. _x000D_ We found the location perfect for exploring Cornwall, only a short drive to so many beautifully places. _x000D_ Best holiday Rory, kelly & Molly
Mr. O Connor (10.0)
We had the best Featherdown stay yet.
Mrs. Cumpstey (10.0)
We had a wonderful stay. We were initially very annoyed with Feather Down after we were double booked at another farm and informed of this error at short notice. However, we rearranged for a stay at Boswarthen and Maddy and Adrian totally delivered and turned our perception of Feather Down around._x000D_ Their hospitality was first class and they were so friendly and easy to get along with. Their boys, Elliot and Alex, were also very helpful - two fine young men. _x000D_ We had a great time and met some lovely families. Our two young sons haven't stopped talking about it.
Mr. Deighton (10.0)
Mr. Harrison (10.0)
Blissful! The area was amazing, each day we discovered the new best beach in the world! The pizza and lasagne nights were really lovely and got all the families talking. The weather was perfect which really allowed us to make the most of such a beautiful setting. Maddy was very welcoming and easy to chat to, and a special thanks for her thoughtfulness in leaving us theatre blankets out for the minack.
Mrs. Gallamoy (10.0)

Mrs. Saunders (10.0)
We had a wonderful stay. The tents are very well appointed and comfortable. Madeleine and Adrian gave us a warm welcome and were very friendly and helpful. Although the weather was rather windy and chilly during the day, we were warm at night in thermals and the thick duvets. The weekend went in a flash and we wished we had been staying all week. The children loved seeing the calves be fed and learning about the farm. We found the honesty shop to be very well stocked with delicious food, the sausages and beef burgers were second to none. We are going to really miss brewing up Cornish tea on the log burning stove. Fantastic memories of a super family weekend. Just wish it wasn't so expensive and we would make it an annual trip.
Mr. Smith (10.0)
Yes excellent, great location, some really warm sunny days and lots of fun.
Ms. Free (10.0)
We had a fantastic time. The children declared it the 'best holiday ever' and we have had many holidays at home and abroad! Maddie and Adrian are fantastic hosts. Maddie's pizza's,lasagne and croissants are delicious and I would recommend the supper evenings as it is great not to have to cook but is much cheaper and more convenient than eating out. The children were safe and free to roam - even my 12 year old son (going on 16!) reverted to boyhood, and was not too cool to collect the eggs from the chicken coop and help with milking! We loved it and will be recommending it to lots of our friends. Thank you Maddie and Adrian - a fab time had by all!
Mrs. Clark (10.0)

We have stayed at Feather Down farms before and enjoyed our stay at Boswarthen Farm as much as any of them. The views were spectacular and Madelaine is very welcoming. Despite some crazy rainy weather, we were tucked up warm in our tent with our stove and duvets. And our chickens both produced eggs despite the cold weather!
Mr. O'reilly (10.0)

it rained a lot, which we expected, but maybe not quite that much. it rarely rained all day though and there were tons of places to go so it was a great trip.
Mrs. Gray (10.0)
Yes. See comments below.
Mrs Holloways (7.5)
Tents are fantastic and comfortable. Madeleine & Adrian are a real credit to your team, very friendly and accommodating could not do enough. However I think we picked the worst week of the year, the weather was dreadful ....... Gale force winds, rain seeping through the canvas into the tent, continuous flapping and banging of metal poles and cold once the log burner went out on a night. The whole family found it very difficult to sleep on a night due to the noise, not very restful. It would have been wonderful had we had the weather !!! Will def have to think twice before booking again.
Mr. Wright (8.8)
Fantastic experience.. will return!
