New life in the springtime

Lorraine starts to burst with life in the Spring. Enjoy long walks through the forests, where the Spring flowers will be out in abundance and the birds will be singing. The farms and woodlands will be coming alive with new arrivals, from foals to fawns. Head for the historic cities of Nancy and Metz to investigate the ever changing past of this historic area.

Enjoy lazy summer days in Lorraine

The colours of the countryside are ever changing, from stunning butterflies to golden corn waiting to be harvested. Children will love watching the farm animals growing alongside their mothers. The beautiful waters of the Lac de Madine are close by or take to the River Meuse in a kayak for an up close look at nature.

Glamping holidays at Feather Down

What better way to be connected with nature then by holidaying under canvas. Step away from the modern world and let the days laze by, without giving up on comfort. Our tents are big enough for all the family, yet remain cosy and inviting. Each Feather Down Farm offers between 2 and 10 Feather Down Tents that will comfortably sleep up to 6 people.

Now is the time to book your 2015 glamping holiday in this beautiful region of France.

  • Lots of WW1 sites. The high wire adventure course at Lake Madine was a big hit.

We didn't go out very much but it is worthwhile going to lac Madine, and we also liked the little village of Hattonchatel. Maybe next time we will try canoeing on the Meuse.
