It is wise to bring reusable ice blocks to chill in the freezer and use in your cool box as it warms up fast. There are very few good places to take young kids to eat locally and most places are open only after 7pm. (If you fancy a night or two away from the stove!)
Pont-aven is a lovely place to visit with lots to see and pretty streets. Then the beech just south of there is perfect.
We feel this is one element that the farm could improve on: there was not much information provided about local events that were going on despite there being several fetes on during the time we stayed On the farm the children loved collecting eggs, playing in the den made of hay and helping the famer milk the cows. The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walks and bike rides (voies vertes) Village de Poul Fetan is a great day trip with hands on 17th century living experiences and we found lots to take in at Quimper.
Not much to do locally to be honest. Travelled 45 mins to two different beaches that were great. Supermarket was 10 mins away which was needed when feeding 8 people for a week. But no Sunday opening.
The Coast at Beg Meil, Vannes and the Gulf of Morbihan, Pontivy.
