With ancient Irish myths and legends to uncover, stunning mountains to explore, and wild coastal beauty that will take your breath away, you’ll find Ash Park offers the very best of Ireland.
Our picturesque 550-acre farm overlooks the stunning Sperrin Mountains and has been in the family since the early 1600s, when flax was grown for linen. You can still see the original mills used, but it is a beef suckler herd, breeding sheep, chickens, sheepdogs and Jack the terrier that will greet you now.
An abundance of wildlife enjoys the eco-friendly farm, with areas of wild bird cover, woodland, bog, ancient hedgerows and sod banks. You’ll find many birds, squirrels, rabbits, owls and foxes, as well as wild flowers and berries for foraging. The River Owenbeg runs through the farm, and if you’re lucky, you may catch a brown trout!
Don’t forget to visit the famous ‘Giants Causeway’, a World Heritage Site, where you can learn about the legend of Finn MacCool. Vibrant Belfast is an hour’s drive, and the ancient city of Derry, City of Culture 2013, is 25 minutes away.
