  • Do we have to bring any kitchen linen?

Upon arrival you will find a small kitchen pack in the tent. This pack contains 1 hand towel, 1 tea towel and a kitchen cloth.

  • Do we have to bring towels?

You can order a towel pack from us (1 bath towel and 1 hand towel) for a small fee per person.

  • Do you charge for all payment methods?

Payment with debit cards is free. All other payment methods, e.g. Visa credit, MasterCard and Paypal transactions incur a £6.00 administration fee.

  • Do you offer cancellation insurance?

We advise you to take out our Feather Down cancellation insurance, which is distributed by De Europeesche Verzekeringen. This will cover you for redundancy and illness (terms and conditions apply). The cancellation insurance is 5.7% of the rental cost of the tent. Please read the terms and conditions.

  • Do we have to book our ‘Added Treats’ at the time of booking?

No, you can book the added treats/extras at a later stage up until a week before you go via us, your personal page or directly at the farm. We advise you to book some of the more sought-after extras in advance due to their popularity or limited stock, e.g. bicycles, and activities for children.

  • Can we stay for just one night?

No, we only offer midweeks (Monday to Friday), weekends (Friday to Monday) or week stays (Friday to Friday or Monday to Monday).

  • What if we arrive very late?

Your host is a working farmer who has an early start in the morning. Therefore, we trust in your understanding that for late arrivals – according to the welcome document of the farm you are visiting – the farmer is entitled to charge an extra fee of 30GBP.

  • What if we leave after the last departures time of 10.30am?

Being a working farmer and a Feather Down host means a great deal to do in a limited amount of time. Therefore, we trust in your understanding that for departures after 10.30am, the farmer is entitled to charge an extra fee of 30GBP. This could increase to 60GBP if in combination with the fine for tents not being left in the proper condition.

  • Do you have duvets and pillows at your locations?

Yes. As so many people have allergies and asthma nowadays, we make sure to provide hypoallergenic bedding.

  • At what time can we arrive?

Arrival check-in time is usually between 4 and 6 p.m. Please double-check your welcome document as times sometimes vary per farm.

  • Can we drive the car up to the tent?

No, but you can park your car nearby, and you will be able to transport your luggage in wheelbarrows.
